Oh my...Oh my...Oh my... You came here to us for advice and now you do not want to take it because you don't think it's right??? Crappy media is our biggest problem here, followed by firmware and then a myriad of other things that make can your burning experience a pain in the ass sometimes. Follow the guidance you get here or keep screwing up...your choice

Hi Woody2005, and welcome to the forum. You cut off a lot of info in the log you posted but we can start with: Crappy media choice...all we recommend for DL copies is Verbatim DataLifePlus made in Singapore. If these have worked before, congrats....cause they ain't workin' now. spinner

Yes, if they are not copy protected. Yes, as long as you do not intend to multi-session them onto one disc. ImgBurn will not 'add' data to an existing disc. I don't recall you being a noob to ImgBurn, but if you need a refresher as to how to use it, read the faq's and guides again. Some you do...some you don't. If you're looking for ripping/pirating info this isn't the place for that, but Google will show you how..... spinner

Hi and welcome to the forum newfie36 Liked it so much that you had to post twice eh?????

#39;( Yes we are and it's really starting to piss me off..... #39;(

Hi clumb31 and welcome to the forum; The info that you seek can be found in the guides and faq's section of the forum. Take the time to read about what you want to do and then come back if you run into a problem. spinner

Sorry Streek Dime; but we don't give ripping advice here in any fashion. You can find what you are looking for by using Google and mining aound a bit. spinner

Foyzul; To tell the truth, I don't make many suggestions to the Boss about the program. I've been here since the days of DVDD, as have most of the Beta's, and I'm still amazed that the program is free, does all that it does and that the Boss is open to suggestions about his 'baby'. I find the capabilities of the program easily worth his putting a price on it and have always held him and the other Beta's in highest regard since we all do this on a volunteer basis without letting the pressures of the laziness/ignorance/attitude of some of the users get to us. spinner.

I'm sure the BOSS will have answers to this for you...but....do you really want a program that looks and acts more like Nero and a slew of other worthless programs out there and is maybe 5x larger in size than ImgBurn?
-
robertonawhim; So happy that you finally got the crappy discs to burn.... Now...please let us know..say...sometime around Christmas time next year...if the discs are still good and trustworthy. Odds on you'll have degredation of the data to the point that you will have wished you had used Verbs...... And I don't even have to look at my crystal ball to know this... #39;(

Good catch volvo, can't believe I missed it in the posting.

Glad you got it sorted without much ado...

tpepsiman; Hi and welcome to the board. Great first post....

mudslidemary; Hi and welcome to the forum. Since the firmware in your burner appears to be the latest availabel, and your choice of disc is one that we recommend, I would suggest that you try cleaning your optical drive and if that fails, replace the drive with one of the new versions.
-
I/O errors are, generally, indicative of a media/firmware/drive not playing together well problem. I checked the HP site and you have the latest official firmware for the drive, you are trying Verb discs and Cynthia has advised you to try cleaning the drive laser with the proper cleaning disc...if all this fails then it's probably time to look at replacing the drive

Cringer; Hi and welcome to the board. How would your suggestion benefit even new users? Wouldn't it just add bloat/unnecessary data to the program without a tangible reason? I can think of no instance where even a newbie has complained about running several instances of ImgBurn at the same time accidentally. I'm sure the Boss may come along and answer this, I'm just wondering about it out loud here.

It sure is here in the States....

CaptainVideo; If you want to discuss FAT vs. NTFS, start your own thread in the CHAT section of the forum and I'm sure someone will indulge you to your hearts content. I would suggest that, before you do, you have a look at the majority of the logs posted here, there and everywhere on the forum and you'll see how many are FAT and how little it matters to the way the program responds to either. Like I said above, the discs are crap, buy some good ones.

JRV; Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm sure the Boss will be pleased to read that he's, once again, appreciated for all his hard work.

Your problem is that the media you are using is trash. Try giving Taiyo Yuden ir Verbatim DataLifePlus (made in Singapore ) a try. Once a DVD is finalized you cannot add additional data to it...sorry.

Nope...not last....... Jack

Error Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!

Reading this...even I know how you solved the problem.... -
Nick; Do what mmalves said and delete the damned controllers and do what the FAQ says. Windo$e does not report the DMA status correctly. Yours is in PIO and needs to be completely reinstalled. Please do not ask for help and then ignore what you were told.
