LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 It's working ok under 11.04 (so I assume 11.10 would work too). The only thing worth mentioning from WineDebug is that is says to update to Alsa v1.0.24 drivers (I understand they're at a lower level than pulse?) - but they don't seem to be available for 10.10! I'm taking that to mean it's actually a bug in Alsa rather than Wine - as the same Wine code works fine on 11.04 (with does use Alsa 1.0.24) trace:winmm:MULTIMEDIA_PlaySound pszSound='0x41fcfac' hmod=(nil) fdwSound=00022002trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound SoundName=L"C:\\Program Files\\ImgBurn\\Sounds\\Success.wav" ! trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound ParentChunk ckid=RIFF fccType=WAVE cksize=000109D8 trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound Chunk Found ckid=fmt fccType=00000000 cksize=00000010 trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound wFormatTag=0001 ! trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound nChannels=1 trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound nSamplesPerSec=19886 trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound nAvgBytesPerSec=19886 trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound nBlockAlign=1 trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound wBitsPerSample=8 ! trace:winmm:proc_PlaySound Chunk Found ckid=data fccType=00000000 cksize=000109B4 trace:winmm:waveOutOpen (0x14aebe4, 4294967295, 0x41fbd38, 68aea120, 14aebdc, 00030000) trace:winmm:WINMM_StartDevicesThread Starting up devices thread ALSA lib pcm_pulse.c:1008:(_snd_pcm_pulse_open) Unknown field handle_underrun err:winediag:AUDDRV_GetAudioEndpoint PulseAudio "default" -22 without handle_underrun. Smiff Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) i'm eventually planning on moving to 12.04 LTS (or the Mint derived one) but not just for this. highest alsa for 10.10 i can see is .23, although there's a ton of alsa parts i don't have installed. thanks i guess i'll just leave sounds disable for those users for now. if anyone really cares: http://duopetalflower.blogspot.com/2011/02/alsa-1024-in-ubuntu-1010.html https://bugs.launchpad.net/maverick-backports/+bug/841225 Edited December 7, 2011 by Smiff
Smiff Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 anyone else having problems with the log window not drawing properly? mine looks like a copy of part of the main window. closing and reopening it doesn't help. not sure when this start happening means i can't see the log.
ianymaty Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Maybe a screenshot will tell more... Can you provide one?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Seems ok to me under Ubuntu 10.10 with 1.3.34 and 1.3.36.
