jack
The Web of Fear is on BBC 4 tonight at 8.35. Dont remember seeing this one as a kid and I dont know if it has been repeated before. I think they are only showing the first episode though which seems a bit daft to me.
Altercuno
Just had a look and its an old Patrick Troughton episode in black & white fighting robot yeti. As you say jack it looks like the only one...should be good though, thanks for the heads up...
dbminter
Yeah, only one complete episode of Web exists. Episodes 2 and 6 are completely lost as of now, and only clips exist of the remaining episodes. I believe they were included in the Lost In Time Troughton DVD's. Altercuno
Felt strange to watch it...all that overacting. So many questions unanswered...what happened to the yeti...what was that cobweb in space business...did Victoria ever come across...?
jack
New series starts tonight and there is a teaser for the series on freeview, press the red button and get a sneak look at the later stories. digidragon
Flying Daleks no less! In Manhattan!! Looks great!!! Anyway, the new series (season in dbminter-speak ) starts in 40 minutes, so I'm off to gird my loins etc...
dbminter
In America, they don't care what word it is anymore because it doesn't matter. Like with Battlestar Galactica, you can create half seasons so you can sell 2 boxed sets: X.0 and X.5!
dbminter
BTW, what red button are we talking about?
Altercuno
Its something jack likes people to do when he's dressed as a cyberman. Thought he was over that... Edited April 1, 2007 by Altercuno
digidragon
The red button, apart from jack's "special" red button, is the interactice button used on the remote to access the BBC's extra channels. If you haven't seen the trailer, it's here: http://freemaagyeman.com/news/2007/03/29/b...-clip/#more-
lfcrule1972
Nice teaser video thanks digi - not bad 1st episode on Saturday, looking back I feel the 1st eps are always a little weak compared to the rest of the season but this was one of the better ones. If the teaser is anything to go by this series looks good ! So who is the Dr marrying then ?
digidragon
Maybe Capt. Jack...
lfcrule1972
No she is definitely female looking...... I am a bit worried the Mrs likes Capt Jack despite him batting for the other side !
dbminter
The red button, apart from jack's "special" red button, is the interactice button used on the remote to access the BBC's extra channels. About red buttons... we could go off into really bad gags about the Cyberwoman episode...
dbminter
http://freemaagyeman.com/news/2007/03/29/b...-clip/#more-222 Hey, was that the Brigadier who flashed by in a really fast clip? No, I think it just looked liked him is all.
Altercuno
The clip from Dr Who Confidential, but with bits added I think. Don't remember the Dalek first time. Nice to see it again and a good find. Didn't see anybody looking like the Brigadier, but he must be old now. Cyberwoman? Button jokes? Not on this forum, surely. Has there ever been a cyberwoman? lfcrule1972
Yeah the Cyberwoman was in Torchwood and also the series finale last year with the Cybermen and Daleks in Canary wharf altho they all actually looked like Cybermen. The Cyberwoman in Torchwood was not completely transformed...
Altercuno
Oh yeah I remember now - in Dr Who when the woman's brain was used to make cybermen they were still called cybermen. Haven't been watching Torchwood, cos I heard its all about gays - men snogging and stuff. Cool pics though lfc, ta
