  1. I doubt it. It's not ImgBurn's timeout that's expiring. Does the burner already use a Y USB cable? (So it takes power from 2 ports) If not, you could get one of those and try it directly.
  2. Just run it under Wine.
  3. When the drive responds with 'Write Protected', it usually means it doesn't support the media. A firmware update may fix that. Otherwise, you'll have to use different discs.
  4. DVD Flick has it's own local copy of ImgBurn.exe - which appears to be 2.4.4.0 If you've installed 2.5.5.0 as a standalone version, you need to copy the exe file to DVD Flick's folder and overwrite its version.
  5. I think you're on the right path spinner That shouldn't be blank - unless you removed it manually?
  6. No matter how much (or little) you think you're burning, the drive will probably end up writing at least 1GB to the disc - and it'll be doing that when the program sends the sync cache command. So at 2x, it's normal for the drive to take that long to do it. Use DVD+RW to avoid it.
  7. Nope, 1 at a time.
  8. Why join this forum to ask that?! This forum is for supporting ImgBurn. Anyway, if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing it. You just wipe the hdd and start from scratch.
  9. Update ImgBurn. Update the firmware on your drive to the latest version - SB03 - http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S202J/files.html Verify your burns. Try the UDF disc after a reboot and use 'Media Player Classic - Home Cinema' rather than VLC.
  10. Depending on the size of the image, its usefulness varies. If it's a double layer image, the MDS contains the location of the layer break. If it's an image that's been subject to file splitting, it tells the program how to reconstruct the image from the numerous file parts. If it's a
  11. Make a new thread please, don't hijack someone elses - especially when it's 3 years old!
  12. Then there's no CD-TEXT on the discs you're ripping. Like I say, CD-TEXT isn't common on discs. It's normally only ones coming out of a Sony factory that have it on them. You can't do anything to stop it reading it - there's no option for it - so it's just one of those things.
  13. What's showing that info, ImgBurn itself or Media Player? Media Player would get that info from the Internet.
  14. Are you sure you were using ImgBurn? ImgBurn might list CD-TEXT if it's on the disc, but most don't have it. ImgBurn usually saves as BIN/CUE files - is that how your other discs have been 'backed up' ?
  15. So what you have is a (re)authoring problem, not a burning problem. ImgBurn just burns exactly what you give it. Try asking for help on a forum that deals with (re)authoring - i.e. Doom9's forum, VideoHelp's forum etc.
  16. There are loads of different types of DVD+R DL discs. Your drive is really old so it'll probably only support discs using the oldest MIDs/dyes.
  17. Can you play the disc in your PC? It won't care about NTSC/PAL.
  18. If it doesn't support the discs you're trying to use, try some others. Well, that or get yourself another drive. (avoid slimline ones, they're rubbish)
  19. Yup, some will be supported and some won't. LG might be able to supply you with a list of supported media. Failing that, you could try reading off the current firmware using Devilsclaw's flasher, then load it into 'Media Code Speed Edit' and see if it can understand it. http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=46137
  20. Oh right! So when the disc gets ejected it just stops at the end of the little claw type things? Do you have to remove the disc straight away or can you let all 25 pile up?
  21. Maybe the drive just doesn't support the 'CMCMAG-DI6-000' MID/dye. Try some other discs.
  22. You could try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc but it might not fix anything.
  23. Your drive doesn't like that disc, use another one. If possible, use write once media instead of rewritable stuff.
  24. PS3 discs are copy protected.
  25. Update the firmware on your drive. http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1516-file_R235097.exe.html Your drive seems to have produced a bad (low quality) burn on that disc, and that's why it couldn't then read it back properly. If that's your first failure, just write it off and burn another one. If they all keep failing, try a different spindle of discs and/or try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.
