The file system being used has nothing at all to do with that error. On a slightly unrelated note, you should put service pack 3 on for XP and then reset the I/O tab in the settings back to default values.

Show me a log of you building an image with files containing those characters please. It might also help if you could zip/rar up a couple of files (empty text files will do) using those characters so I make sure I test with the right ones. If Unicode hasn't been disabled, UDF really shouldn't be having a problem with those characters though.

It's not downloading properly. The file is fine but there might be a server issue at the moment - it just stops downloading at 3% for me.

It can't miss some and not others. Either they're all zeros (and caught) and or they're not all zeros (and not caught). Send me an offending MP3 and I'll look into it.

Old versions of ImgBurn aren't supported - update to the current version. The disc looks like it should be bootable so just make sure you've configured your BIOS correctly so it boots from it rather than the HDD.

If you feed ImgBurn with MP4 files, you'll end up with MP4 files on a disc - it doesn't convert them. If you want a proper DVD Video disc you'll have to convert the files first (using aother program - like DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD) and then burn the output with ImgBurn.

Are you perhaps confusing files with folders? A DVD Video disc usually contains a 'AUDIO_TS' folder and a 'VIDEO_TS' folder. Neither of those have anything to do with AVI files. If you want a standard, playable DVD Video disc then you would need to convert AVI files into one. If you want 4 AVI files to be converted then you need to present all 4 to your conversion program at the same time. ImgBurn doesn't convert stuff, it burns as-is.

Most big electronics stores should carry those. As for 24hr ones... no idea. Yes, get an external drive. You can just buy an generic 5.25" USB->SATA enclosure and stick a decent burner (Optiarc 72xx or something) in it - don't worry about buying a pre-prepared 'external' drive.

You don't really have a burning problem (yet). You need to actually get a working copy of the website first... then you can think about burning it. Within Internet Explorer, if 'File -> Save As -> Website Archive' doesn't work then you might need special software for it - again, not a problem for discussing on this forum. If it's your own website, you'll already have everything you need - burn the entire folder structure containing your source files. You'd just have to 'serve' it if it's not made from static web pages.

Try cleaning your drive with a cleaning disc. If that still doesn't work, look at getting another drive - and don't get another slimline one because they're all pretty rubbish.

It's not possible due to the way the program works. For various reasons, there needs to be somewhere (in memory) ImgBurn can put data before it's sent to the drive.

There isn't one. If you're just building ISO files that you'll never burn, you can fool it into not asking you to select a layer break position by making single layer media look bigger than it actually on the 'Media' tab.

'Acer' doesn't really cut it I need specific model numbers if I'm to look up which chipsets / controllers are available on the board. Basically what I'm going for is you needing to update the drivers for the chipset/controller. The error message means exactly what it says. That is, there was an error of some sort but no additional info about it is available. Normally the drive would return 'Write Error' or similar in place of 'No additional sense information'. Zeroing is exactly the same as writing (but with 0's instead of real data). So if you try and write to the disc, you'll no doubt run into the same errors.

All you can do on DVD is back them up just as you would do any other file - i.e. in 'Build' mode (write files/folders to disc). If you want to author an actual DVD Audio disc you'll need to use a DVD Audio authoring tool to build your AUDIO_TS folder and then burn that with ImgBurn.

What motherboard do you have and what sata port/controller is that drive attached to? You shouldn't be getting 'No Additional Sense Information' messages so I think the real error is getting lost in the driver stack somewhere.
