  1. There's some glitch in the firmware on LG Blu-ray drives that stops them from spinning up to the specified/required speed. There's already a workaround in place for the issue and it'll first be available in 2.5.6.0.
  2. The drive seems to be going forwards and backwards a lot with the % complete bit at the end of the format. I'd say it's just having problems with the disc. Try a Verbatim DVD+RW (probably 8x) disc instead.
  3. Maybe you don't have DMA enabled. Post a log of you burning + verifying something.
  4. If you want to burn Blu-ray discs then you need a Blu-ray burner. BDAV/BDMV folders are what you'd have if you had the proper files for burning a Blu-ray video disc. So if you have mpeg4 and wmv files, you don't have that - yet. You can probably find a tool to convert those files into the correct format for burning as a Blu-ray Video disc, but it's not something ImgBurn can do.
  5. hehe you're welcome I found that out through personal experience. I was trying to install Windows 7 off a USB 3.0 memory stick in a USB 3.0 port and it just wouldn't have it. I had to switch to a USB 2.0 port to make it boot.
  6. No idea really, sorry.
  7. Going back to the drive tests / scans, there doesn't seem to be much between them. LG probably has a better name for itself in the BD drive market. The LiteOn has the bonus of being able to perform disc quality scans. Can you find a BH12LS35 or BH12LS38 where you are?
  8. If you haven't already terminated ImgBurn, press the F8 key to enable I/O debug mode and see if I/O commands are still be issued - you should see them being logged in the log window. The drive itself performs the format, ImgBurn simply polls for progress updates. If it's stuck, yes, there's some issue with your drive/firmware/media combo. To be honest, I don't know where that ZL0A firmware came from in the first place! The latest one LiteOn have available is ZL03
  9. They both rewrite BD-RE 25GB and 50GB discs. There are BH12LSxx models out now though... get one of those instead if you can.
  10. Well if discs aren't in individual cases, they're usually on spindles (packs of 25, 50, 100 etc).
  11. Try dropping the Write Speed down to 8x. When you say you've tried different discs, do you just mean different discs from the same spindle?
  12. I said 'header navigation bar'.... so you're looking for a 'bar' near the top of the page (the 'header') containing 'navigation' links. A mirror site is used to describe something that contains a copy of something held elsewhere - and here, that 'something' is the ImgBurn setup file. There about 8 mirror sites listed on the download page, you just need to pick one of them. Being a freeware program, I don't get 'sales'. The adverts are there to help keep it free. If all you want is basic drag and drop burning, what's stopping you from using Windows 7 itself? It can burn CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs.
  13. Thanks red dave
  14. Well assuming you've left it going at exactly where the log was up to, don't try and cancel out of it or anything, just get a screenshot showing both windows (main and log) and post it in a reply. As for the write speed, I'd go for 8x. Which enclosure did you buy for the drive? Which chipset does your motherboard use? (Intel, AMD etc)
  15. Is there a message in the status bar at this point? What does it say? The log shows it doing everything it's supposed to do just fine. Personally, I wouldn't burn at 20x - especially not when retrying stuff having run into a problem.
  16. Burn another disc. Press the F8 key before you start the Write though so it enabled I/O debug mode. Then, once it's stuck at the Verify stage, click 'File' -> 'Save As' in the log window, save the log to a file and upload it here on the forum.
  17. It'll be in a new version of ImgBurn. I guess it might make sense if you actually tried what I've done before I release the next version - it may need tweaking or not work at all! PM me with a decent email address to send it to please.
  18. Well, the players you've tested it on could be very forgiving. Without knowing exactly why the Pioneer failed (which of course is probably impossible to find out), you've (I've) no real starting point for what to be looking at and fixing. I could spend a whole week on it and it still not work! The checkbox to turn off the modification of IFO files is just for the layer break stuff. You'd probably need to disable 'Fix VTS Sectors' and 'IFO/BUP 32K Padding' too - they're both in the 'DVD Video' groupbox on the Build tab in the Settings. In theory, the order and positioning of the files in ImgBurn's image should then match an image built by the Panasonic tool - test it by looking at them in IsoBuster. More importantly, the IFO/BUP files should still match your source folder. If you ever work out what's right and not right, do pop back and let me know. I'm happy to implement the fixes / changes but just don't have the tools or knowledge to do any testing myself.
  19. TAO and SAO are two of the different 'Write Modes' a drive can be instructed to use (there's 4 in total). You can control where things go when you use SAO. When you use TAO you're stuck with a 2 second gap between tracks. I'm sure you could Google for more info on the different write modes if you are really interested ImgBurn can do TAO mode (it's an option in the settings on the Write tab) but I recall an issue with it in 2.5.5.0 (fixed a long time ago ready for 2.5.6.0).
  20. Bring up http://www.imgburn.com/ Select 'Download' in the header navigation bar. Pick a mirror site to download from. It really isn't that difficult, honest! As for software being good/bad, surely that depends on what you're looking for. ImgBurn isn't exactly aimed at novice users, so that fact you couldn't find the download could mean it's not right for you anyway (either).
  21. There are no add-ons for ImgBurn - full stop. It is what it is.
  22. Express burn seems to default to burning in TAO mode. ImgBurn uses SAO mode as it's way more flexible. So either your drive is producing bad SAO burns or your player just doesn't like SAO burns full stop.
  23. Sorry, no. ImgBurn is a GUI app, the fact you can control certain things via the command line is just a bonus feature.
  24. So the disc makes use of the AUDIO_TS folder AND the VIDEO_TS one? There's minimal code for anything to do with the AUDIO_TS folder. I have no idea how that bit works, nor do I really care as it's used so rarely. (I've never done any real testing with AUDIO_TS stuff) ImgBurn will be adjusting pointers in the VIDEO_TS folder's IFO files (to match the physical location of stuff on the disc), but it won't be doing the ones in the AUDIO_TS folder to match. That could be where the issue is coming from. Stick with your original / working method.
  25. Ok, I've implemented this as a new 'Create BDMV Folders' option - enabled by default.
