  1. There's a 1.05 firmware update available here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/AD-7170A/files.html Give it another go once you've updated. You could also try burning at 4x rather than 2.4x. Where are your Verbatims made? India, Singapore? It should say on the packaging. You can also try running a cleaning disc in your drive.
  2. No, ImgBurn doesn't support multisession in Build mode.
  3. I meant how many times did you try the firmware update?
  4. If the cue is in the same folder as the mp3 files it references, it should work just fine without you having to change anything.
  5. No no no no, you have to edit the cue file in notepad or whatever. Then edit the lines that point to the MP3 files. Isn't it just easier to put the CUE in with the MP3's though? That way you wouldn't have to edit anything. I guess I could add an option to use relative paths rather than full or none. I'll also add the fallback to checking for the MP3's in the same folder structure but with the drive letter of the CUE file's drive.
  6. How many times did you try?! Does safe mode pick up USB drives? If it does, try flashing in that. Failing that, you might just have a bad usb chipset in your machine and the enclosure the drive is in doesn't like it very much. Don't forget to post your filter driver load order info too please - mmalves asked for it earlier.
  7. That one is booktyped to DVD-ROM. If you want to burn discs with the booktype set like that, you'll have to buy a new (external) drive.
  8. There's a chance you didn't even have the 'Preserve Full Pathname' option ticked... it certainly isn't by default. If you don't save the CUE in the EXACT same folder as the MP3's it's built for, full paths will be used regardless of the setting. Where does H: come into it? It thought you said it was all on 1 drive? Are I:\, H:\ and E:\ all the same physical / logical hard drive but it's just picking up a different drive letter on different computers? If your barry white CUE in 'E:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS\ImgBurn CUE Files' (the drive letter isn't important here really) and your MP3's are in: 'E:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS\Barry White\Barry White Solid Gold\*' (again, the drive letter isn't important here really) You could fix the file names in the cue by using '..\Barry White\Barry White Solid Gold\*' in the CUE. i.e. so: FILE "I:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS\Barry White\Barry White Solid Gold\01-AudioTrack 01.mp3" MP3 becomes FILE "..\Barry White\Barry White Solid Gold\01-AudioTrack 01.mp3" MP3 The program would then see the path and think... hmm '..', that means the parent directory. This CUE is in 'E:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS\ImgBurn CUE Files' so the parent directory is 'E:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS'. Replace '..' with 'E:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS' to make 'E:\AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS\Barry White\Barry White Solid Gold\01-AudioTrack 01.mp3' and there it would find your file just fine
  9. Where's the disc that DOES work? Put that in the drive and copy + paste all the disc info from the panel on the right when you're in Read mode.
  10. Make your own thread ika. And post what you see in the log window this time please.
  11. Ignore that, I edited my post because it was an error on my part. You're burning with the latest but the image was built with an older version.
  12. Unless the cue is in the same folder as the mp3's, you have to store the full path to the file... how else would it know where to find them?! Relative paths would work too in this instance - so long as you keep both the CUE's and the MP3's in that 'AUDIO TO MP3_RIPS' folder. ImgBurn will cope with reading relative paths from a CUE but it doesn't write them to it when creating one. It's full paths or nothing. You'd be much better off putting the CUE inside the folder where it's MP3's are. To solve the issue quickly now though (and save changing the full path in the CUE file from I:\* to E:\*), just change the drive letter in the disk management tool.
  13. Your drive doesn't appear to booktype to DVD-ROM. Matshita drives are rubbish.
  14. Even though it was once I:\ and is now E:\, ImgBurn will try looking for the files in the same directory as the CUE if they can't be found in the original path - which therefore means it should work so long as they're together. So where exactly is the CUE file in relation to the MP3's? Do I need to implement yet another fallback to check if the files are in the same location but with a different drive letter? (The drive letter of where the CUE is) You could also just assign your drive a different letter: E:\ -> I:\
  15. What's the exact message in the error window? Post a screenshot please. (or CTRL+C (copy) and then CTRL+V (paste) it) Knowing exactly what's in the CUE would be useful too.
  16. 1.06 firmware update here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/Pioneer/DVR-216R/files.html
  17. Sounds about right to me.
  18. Buggy bios I guess.
  19. How did you end up with 5 VOBs and no IFO/BUP files? VOBs are supposed to be less than 1GB in size (each). Do not join them. Anyway, ImgBurn expects a proper set of DVD Video files. How you get to that stage is nothing to do with ImgBurn and therefore doesn't really belong on this forum. Might I suggest you try Doom9 or Videohelp instead.
  20. It probably just improved the write strategy and where media differences / dirt on the lense had made it start to fail, the firmware gave it enough of a boost to create a working disc.
  21. Get rid of: Lower Class Filter: sscdbhk5 Lower Class Filter: drvmcdb
  22. So long as they really are 2.4x ones, yup. Try for ones made in Singapore if possible. A Pioneer 115/116/117/215/216/217 (the 1xx's are PATA, the 2xx's are SATA) drive should do you ok for DL burning, that or the new AD-7240 Optiarc. I can buy them (OEM) for about
  23. The drive IS being detected, just it's not being allowed to use it. Google 'InCD' and you'll find out what it is! If any burning software came pre-installed on your pc or you've put Roxio / Nero on, it'll probably go on with them. Basically, the OS telling ImgBurn that it can't 'open' the drive - and the reason it gives for that is 'The device is not ready'. You might be able to get around it by opening ImgBurn when you DON'T have a disc in the drive and then inserting it. Whatever tool you have installed on your machine that is blocking ImgBurn, it shouldn't be able to do it if ImgBurn has already opened the device. Please post a copy of your filter driver list too - it's in the Tools menu. Just copy to the clipboard and then 'paste' in a reply.
  24. Get the 2.4x Verbatims, not the 8x ones. (MKM-001-00 dye Vs MKM-003-00 dye). Failing that, get yourself a decent external drive. Matshita ones are useless.
  25. Nothing is being done, nor will it be unless you know a free lawyer.
