  1. Do you have DAEMON Tools installed? If so, mount the image in that, go into read mode in ImgBurn and select the DT virtual drive, then copy + paste the disc info from the right of the main window. I would have to guess that it's a PTP disc or something with more data on L1 than L0 (which isn't allowed on OTP discs)
  2. Nope, sorry it is not. ImgBurn works best for an existing folder structure on your hdd.
  3. No idea but feel free to update the firmware on your drive whenever you get a minute.
  4. You've got DMA errors. To fix that you can try a number of things... Replace the cable going to the drive (with as short a one as possible) Update the motherboard / controller drivers. Uninstall the controller within Device Manager and reboot so it finds it again (This is the DMA fix posted in the FAQ)
  5. Pass. If there are no valid cells for the LB in a given ISO then there are no valid cells. I don't recall changing / fixing anything to do with that. If you load the MDS instead of the ISO (which the program should do automatically anyway?) the program will use the LB from within that file instead of trying to find one.
  6. Ah see in my eyes, the main window is the same thing for all modes. I guess when you hear 'main' you think I mean the Write mode screen. The window itself doesn't change when you switch modes, just the controls that you see do.
  7. It's on the main screen, not in the settings. 'Verify against image file'.
  8. Can you please get a screenshot of this error message - making sure both the ImgBurn windows are fully visible too (main window and log window that is) alongside the error box.
  9. Your CPU usage is high, that's all. You're either hitting a wall (speed wise) due to the lack of available CPU cycles or because there's too much I/O going on. Use Verify mode on one of those new burns but turn off the option to compare against and image file - that way it'll just be your dvd drive doing the work. When it's done, double click the log entry (in the log window) where it says it's exported the graph data (the one with the file name in it etc). DVDInfoPro will load up automatically and display the IBG file
  10. Technically a VCR wouldn't play any DVDs. It is a Video Cassette Recorder after all!
  11. When you get that error burning an ISO, just break the ISO down so you get the actual files (mount the ISO in DAEMON Tools or something) and then use Build mode to create a new image.
  12. Open that file. ImgBurn exports the graph data automatically. To do that you can either load dvdinfopro, click the ibg button and load it or you can just double click the file in question - dvdinfopro should automatically load it (assuming it's registered the .ibg file association properly - you might need to run it once to do that).
  13. Update to the A306 firmware. http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/S...spx?DriveId=984 Your drive might be able to write to the media you're trying to use then. If it still doesn't, ditch them in favour of some Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL (MKM-001-00 dye, made in Singapore) ones instead.
  14. The 'Media' bit are really only for when you're burning a DVD Video disc so the program knows when to build and ISO for a DL disc, and how much space is available on each layer so it can sort out the layer break to be within the valid range for the target media. If you burn direct to disc, you don't need to worry about that because the program gets the info from the disc in the drive. As for Advanced / Restrictions, defaults are fine. Just change something if your project really needs it - like more than 8 directory levels or something.
  15. Hotlinking isn't allowed, that's why the zdnet link didn't work. The link on the actual ImgBurn website works fine. I'm not sure why you've posted an Adobe Reader screenshot - bad file association on your machine I guess.
  16. Damn, the only nvidia board i have is nforce 4
  17. Happy Birthday
  18. Yes you need to burn/think in chunks of 2048 - because that's the size of a sector. If the last part of a file doesn't fill a sector then the rest should be filled with zeroes. Likewise, a file cannot start mid sector, it always starts at the first byte of a given sector number. AnyDVD changes I/O data on the fly. If you burn and then verify a disc, it can be chaging the I/O data and thus cause the verify to error out with a 'mismatch'. ImgBurn displays the log entry when AnyDVD.exe is found in your process list.
  19. Sense area data is clearly defined in the specs and it would be a bit weird if certain controllers / drivers changed the formatting - it would screw up all the programs that expect it in the documented format (like ImgBurn) ! Obviously you can't just ignore errors either, programs have to respond to them in certain ways as they don't always mean 'fatal error'. If the errors are just plain wrong then you're a bit stuck! Get the drive off that controller and I'm sure everything will start working just fine. That said, I'm semi interested to try and find such a controller (as a PCI card) so I can see if they all do the same thing. Is there any chance you could get the exact model number of it? The one in device manager might do if there's no standalone chip on the motherboard (I won't be buying a Via motherboard any time soon - yuk!)
  20. Open the graph data file in DVDInfoPro so we can see the write/verify speed lines.
  21. Damn, I think I got my CRC calculation wrong. I was doing it byte by byte but I think I need to do it dword (4 bytes) by dword. I might get you to test the change if that's ok?
  22. FYI, I've fixed this now but you'll have to wait for the next release, sorry!
  23. Ok, next I need you to right click on the isolinux.bin file within the ImgBurn built ISO file (We're still using IsoBuster for this) and select 'Sector View'. Post up a screenshot of that window.
  24. Well we don't talk 'copy protection' on this forum so that never even entered my head
  25. The log doesn't show any problem. If you're getting an error box or something pop up, please get a screenshot of it so we can see what you're seeing.
