  1. When you next burn a disc, don't click Retry and instead just get a screenshot of the first error box that pops up. It looks like your drive is resetting itself and that's why it enters the 'not ready' status. That is obviously not something it should be doing.
  2. It wasn't deleted, it was simply hidden from view by a moderator because it made zero sense and looked like SPAM. I've deleted it now though out of principal and it didn't belong in the 'suggestions' forum anyway.
  3. Burn the memtest+ iso to a cdrw or something and then reboot your pc. If the boot order is such that cdrom comes before hdd it'll boot straight into memtest and begin checking your memory. If it's not you'll need to make some changes in the bios or try and access a boot option type screen.
  4. Your first post doesn't make any sense. If you have a problem with the translation, tell me what's wrong with it or have a go at correcting it yourself and sent it over.
  5. Are you using decent quality Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden media? If not, try doing so. It looks like your drive is getting on a bit now so you'll probably want some older 8x media rather than 16x. Another option would be to buy a new burner. They're only about
  6. I don't know why your drive is complaining about a command sequence error but you've obviously got an error in your 'source' configuration anyway, the project is tiny.
  7. You can't output anything except a disc image (of variation of it in the case of an Audio CD to a WAV file) with ImgBurn so no, it won't create a single VOB file. It'll create an image of the discs in BIN/IMG/ISO etc format.
  8. Just load the CUE file in Write mode.
  9. Not that I'm aware of and I've tested it on all OS's from 95 onwards.
  10. If it's in VCD format make sure you load the CUE file. Loading the ISO will NOT give you a proper VCD disc. The program defaults to using SAO/DAO so unless you've changed the 'Write Type' in the Settings (on the Write tab) to 'TAO' it'll be correct anyway. Other than that, just follow the 'how to burn an image file' guide in the Guides section of this forum.
  11. What OS are you running? Is there anything 'odd' about it? (and by 'odd', I mean something that might make it different to my standard XP Pro English version) If it's XP, are you No SP, SP1, SP2 or SP3 ? It would be weird for tooltips to be there in other programs but not ImgBurn. You really can't get a tooltip up on *any* button/picture?
  12. The error in that first log/post is nowhere near the LB position. Are you stuck using the DVD-R DL discs or could you change to the DVD+R DL ones? You might have more luck with those.
  13. Have you actually done anything to try and fix the issue yet? To bring up device manager you just right click 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'. Then switch to the 'Hardware' tab and you'll see a 'Device Manager' button. Post number 2 in the FAQ (and you were complaining about having to read a lot?!) is the one you need to read. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...dpost&p=967 Just look at the bit under the huge purple 'Important' text - you'll notice a screenshot giving you a clue as to what you need to do. Simply expand the 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers' branch and then right click + 'Uninstall' the entries that have the word 'Controller' in them. When you uninstall them they'll take the 'Channel' entries with them - that's what is supposed to happen, don't worry. Reboot when you're done and hopefully the speed problems will have been fixed. btw, Why do you have so little free memory? Do you have a lot of programs open? The machine must be running like a complete dog if that's how it always is.
  14. Normally it's caused by a program changing the data on the fly (on purpose) or you've got some dodgy memory / hdd in the machine that's not 100% reliable. Try running memtest+ on the machine for a few passes.
  15. The queue is only available for images. So you'd need to make images from your VIDEO_TS folders first before then adding the images to the queue. You can kinda semi get it working with a VIDEO_TS folder by using the CLI options in a batch file. This way won't actually use the queue function within ImgBurn but the batch file allows you to do basically the same thing.
  16. You might also like to try one of the other speeds the drive supports on that media - some work better than others and it's not always the slowest one!
  17. You can't do it with folders, just images (from within Write mode).
  18. I can assure you that there's not. There are loads of settings you can configure if you so wish that might make a difference. The error is coming from the drive and it's purely based on hardware (drive / media). There's nothing to say those other programs even look for errors during the finalisation phase, I never used to but I do now.
  19. What exactly are you doing? The Artist and Title boxes are pretty obvious in the 'Create CD CUE File' window. If that's not where you're looking, chance are that this is not related to ImgBurn at all.
  20. You need the CUE file as it contains all the track layout info. The CDT file is for CD-TEXT so you get a proper copy of it on your new disc rather than the slightly dumbed down version that can be created by reading certain tags within the CUE file. So in short, no you can't have an audio image in a single file.
  21. If they're not immediately obvious then it's probably stuff you'd need a deeper understanding of drives/burning to appreciate.
  22. Some Verbatim ones use the Taiyo Yuden dye - I think it's the pastel coloured ones.
  23. I honestly don't see how that's possible. There's only 1 way of setting the layer break so the other program would have had to use the exact same command. If your drive throws up an error (in this case 'Program Memory Area Update Failure') for one program (on a given disc) it would do it for all programs. Of course if you use a different disc in the other program then that's not really a fair test.
  24. Which version of the program are you using? The drive shouldn't be reporting 'Incomplete' for the disc status but I'm pretty sure ImgBurn has certain checks in it if that's the case and other fields have certain values which basically mean the disc is blank.
  25. The 'Sync cache' function is performed by the drive, ImgBurn just waits for it to finish. If the drive never returns control to the program it'll never finish. That's pretty much all there is to it.
