  1. It's been a 'sticky' in this forum for about 5 years
  2. What has been changed in it?
  3. I expect it's a timing issue or something. Printing the output to the log might be just enough time for the drivers to not fall over. Hopefully they'll fix it if they ever release any more.
  4. You asked if there was a setting that could be changed to allow you to burn at 4x in your current drive. I was just explaining that's not how these things work I'm afraid. We are always at the mercy of the drive and its firmware. As far as I can see, your logs just show the drive timing out after a while. It appears unable to burn the discs. If you're running into exactly the same issue with the real verbatim discs, I'd recommend you invest in a new drive.
  5. You have to look at what's listed for 'supported write speeds' in the disc info box on the right to see what's available for your drive / firmware / media combo. It's not possible to override what the drive reports and burn at any given speed. Your verbatim discs aren't true verbatim discs, they have the ritek mid and not mkm or MCC as they should do. Don't buy verbatim's value range
  6. Oh sorry I completely missed the point there! I can't remember the wording at the moment and I'm not near the code to check it.
  7. That's correct, the program prompts you to push the tray in again manually.
  8. You may as well just try burning whatever it is you want to burn.
  9. The first error is the one to look at, and that was a timeout on the logical unit. You could have also tried dropping the write speed to 8x
  10. ISO simply can't handle audio.
  11. That could be by design where Sony is concerned.
  12. Then it needs to stay as a bin and cue I'm afraid.
  13. The mirror links are all fine afaik. Just click the 'download' link in the blue navigation bar at the top and then pick from the 7 mirrors listed.
  14. They're usually in that format for a reason. What does the bin file contain? What type of disc was it created from?
  15. It looks like you've changed the write mode to 'cd' in the settings rather than leaving it on 'auto'. Change it back.
  16. If you could elaborate on 'does not seem to work properly anymore', it would really help Post the log so we can see what's going on.
  17. LIGHTNING UK!

    wont play

Please post the burn + verify log.
  18. Debug mode does nothing more than log what's happening, so I stand by my initial post - Your system as a whole is getting stuck processing a command. Keep scanning, maybe it'll run into the same issue even when logging is enabled and then we'll be able to see what isn't being processed correctly.
  19. Any difference if you turn 'Perform OPC Before Write' back off? Your drive is getting on a bit now, maybe it needs cleaning? How old are your discs? Are they genuine and branded taiyo yuden or something else?
  20. You need to be on the main ImgBurn window, then press F8. It'll say it has been enabled in the log window. I must have removed the checkbox in the settings. Oh well!
  21. What you should do is enable I/o debug mode before going into the changer control and pressing the scan button. From what I recall, all it's doing is loading the disc from slot X, waiting a while for it to become ready, unloading again and preceding to test the next one. It looks to me as if those commands are getting stuck on your system for some reason. The debug enabled log file may shed more light. Enable I/o debug mode by pressing F8 or by going into the settings and enabling it on the I/o tab.
  22. I expect this is more of a system issue. The scanning is just done in a loop, so it would not work at all if there was a problem. Perhaps try another FireWire cable?
  23. How many have you tried and failed to burn? I don't suppose there are many options for 8cm discs.
  24. Go into the setting and adjust the default destination field on the Read tab. It generates it automatically by default. You can right click the browse box and pick from the history list if required.
  25. You'll have to try a different enclosure.
