ok, IMGburn is an ISO burning software program Single Layer discs are approximately 4.3 gigs in size Dual layer discs are 8.5 in size avi or divx have to be converted to dvd files ifo,bup and vob then made into an ISO and when thats done can be burned by IMGburn to see what file extentions are supported open IB,TOOLS-->Settings--->File associations having downloaded movies you must understand we dont support any kind of piracy or the bypassing of copyright protection nor do we discuss any ripping software that might do this
-
they need to be converted to dvd files IFO,BUP,VOB's then made into an ISO and IB will burn them
-
been keeping an eye on Sonys latest mess ,they decided to use cheaper chipsets in the PS3 while jacking up the price and in their rush to market created another mess for themselves .I wouldn't bother with anything that wasn't backwards compatible with the previous models games .Before I rushed out to get one I 'd wait and see how it plays out at 425 they are not cheap

seeing how it does't read that info with any of the medias I'd suspect that the drive might be faulty. Those memorex discs are pretty subpar one uses Ritek dye and the other CMC MAG but The Verbs are top of the line and the drive wont read those either .What computer is the burner in an HP? and is it still under warranty?

Daisy the bad news is DVD Decrypter was discontinued for legal reasons namely its ability to bypass copyright protection and is not supported here at IMGburn Forum .You make no mention of what discs you're using so we can't even rule out crap media .IB automatically saves the logs, HELP-->IMGburn logs, you could also copy and paste the info from the IB window looks like this .The more info you can provide the better chance for a solution.Even though you had success with the first 90 discs the last ones could be faulty ,more info please SONY DVD RW DRU-510A 1.1a (ATA) Current Profile: DVD-R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2,298,496 Free Space: 4,707,319,808 bytes Free Time: 510:48:46 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 1x, 2x, 4x Pre-recorded Information: Manufacturer ID: MCC 03RG20 Recording Management Area Information: SONY 0000000 SONY DRU-510A

that media INFOdisc is garbage like KEV says get Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden SL discs and if you ever decide to burn Dual layer discs its VerbatimDL +R ONLY -
I 04:53:04 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.2 Beta started! been back in the salt mines for a little while already
-
be carefull with it ,somebody said it has a hair trigger and can go off without warning
-
what you're looking at is IB reporting that the media is in fact DL and that is correct ,when you burn the disc with bitsetting enabled it then makes it dvd-rom ,look at Spinners post . Take the disc you burned put it in whatever you use to read your discs with and from the IB window copy and paste the info so we all can also see, you do report its dvd -rom so the drive did its job and you're worrying about nothing
-
look at all the files select the ones you want put them in a Video_ts folder build an ISO with IB and burn that
-
you could use the L&D modified it wont hurt anything , or retry the settings again when you burn another DL, you should know that flashing it to a modified firmware voids whatever warranty the drive may have(pretty sure its up on that model) but the NEC can be flashed back to stock FW. I've flashed my 3500 a few times and restored it to original with binflash. Liggy and Dee specialize in the NEC's and do an excellent job can you post a log of the burn next time with all the info in it
-
official NEC firmware only supports bitsetting for Dual Layer +R media it does not support single layer media(+R) .You could use Liggy and Dees firmware which is a modified NEC firmware and it will support bitsetting
-
what you're getting is an error that has to do with copyrighted dvd's . IMGburn is a burning program not a ripper and it does not have and never will have the ability to bypass the encryption on the discs. The read function is strictly for discs that have no copyright protection . IB is not the same as decrypter FYI decrypter and IMGburn were authored by the same person Lightning UK but for legal reasons Decrypter was discontinued

.image size 8,075MB.... put it on a dual layer disc 8.5 gigs

19.6X write speed and 94% is pretty impressive
-
I 19:15:40 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: ProdiscF02) (Speeds: 4x; 8x; 12x; 16x) I 19:11:17 Write Speed: 16x the media you're burning to is not very good and to select 16X for a write speed is pretty much asking for a coaster ,try burning at 8x after you update your firmware ,theres been much testing of medias and all fall off quality wise after 12X

Sound of the movie is 10 seconds behind the scenes

you can read the guides for how to make an ISO (guides Forum ) Google "Daemon Tools" its a virtual drive that can play ISO's and its a free download as far as the playback you dont really provide too much info ,authoring program ,player you use for the comp and so on you can also download Media Player Classic a playback software its also free or use PowerDVD ,windows Media Player isn't all that great in that department -
Noob Question ... needing the For Dummies Version
polopony replied to DrKyle1's topic in ImgBurn Support
Dr Kyle ,IMGburn is a burning software program, it doesn't have the ability to bypass copyright protection found on dvd's. It does have a read function but it reads unencrypted dvd's only, it has to be this way for legal reasons. DVD Decrypter had that ability but it was what led to its demise -
you would need to convert the AVI files into proper dvd files vob,bup ,ifo and then make an ISO of those for IB to burn
-
the log looks fine , I'd say its the player ,as you know players are really cheap these days and the no name brand play everything you put in them where the high end can be a little picky
-
decrypter removed the copyright protection from dvd's and was referred to as a "DVD Ripper", IMGburn does not have this ability it reads only discs that have no copytight protection on them For legal reasons we cant point you to a program that would circumvent the protection ,it would put this forum in jepordy
-
this sounds like the drive you get the same error with both medias and the spindle error is hardware ,the servo is the motor that spins the disc ,you mighjt not be getting problems because of the size limits of a cd (700 mb) with a dvd there is a greater chance of the motor heating up after 700mb and then spitting out the error because of the size of the dvd.You should pull the drive and check it in someone elses computer and also you could make sure that the drive is getting some airflow it could be overheating
-
you're barking up the wrong tree ,IB wont rip dvd's with copyright protection on them and even though you own the dvd its still illegal to copy it IB only reads unencrypted dvd's
