IMGburn will read dvd's with no copyright protection on them it will not rip commercial dvd's ,that message you got is when you try to read a store bought dvd
closing the disc is automatic and cant be disabled but if it wont close then you have the option of going to Tools-->Drive-->Close and doing it manually or right click the burner in the destination box
you should always keep your firmware up to date ,right click the burner and the last line is firmware update ,new firmware usually has all the new media codes for the latest discs and improved instructions for the drive
23:38:39 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 2.4x)
23:38:39 Write Speed: 1x
when you burn ,you need to select a speed thats supported by the drive , in this case its 2.4X that the firmware has a write strategy for
you chose 1x a speed thats not supported by the FW and has no write strategy for it
we all get that way after awhile .
Fixing the format issue can be done but the time involved is really long to convert one to the other (formats ) and in my opinion just not worth the effort .
heres a link to some guides on how its done and the converters you might need www.videohelp.com/guides
If you Google "PAL to NTSC " theres lots of stuff to read
I just print covers for my dvd's and also print the DVD's themselves I use an Epson 960 photosmart the 200 and 300 series can also print directly to inkjet printable discs
this sounds like its media related ,not being able to burn layer 2 ,The ONLY media that works right is Verbatim +R Dual Layer all the others are hit and miss
its about what format the movie is Region 2 (UK) uses the PAL format Region 1 uses NTSC a different format unless you have the hardware to play both formats then the black and white thing sounds like you're trying to play a PAL format dvd in region 1(US) hardware the UK players and TV's can handle playing NTSC most US stuff cant .A computer can handle both formats with no problems
clear up something ,what are you doing, creating a VOB with what program? ,To use IMGburn you'll have a video Ts folder with VOB's BUp's and IFOs already you will then BUILD an ISO from that and burn it using IB
Are you trying to convert some other format to dvd
Google " free wmv to dvd converter" ,you'll come up with tons of stuff probably a program for free if you look hard enough ,have to head for work or would find one .If he doesn't mind paying theres a whole lot in the $25 range
Yep its the Colonel with his 27 herbs and spices of which 20 were illegal substances (rumor only ).He did pass away and was rolled in batter ,deep fried and buried in a red and white paper box with 2 side dishes
wouldn't be too shabby if they got their act together again and started producing A1 media again ,still have some blank GO4's ,burned and verifyed fine and stayed in storage for 2+years in South Florida sun
what you can do is to run all default settings and uncheck verify then the drive wont eject the disc, rather than cause damage you could also leave the door open while you're burning
nothings friggin sacred why cant they leave well enough alone ,used to just go to the store ,theres the Verbs grab a spindle or 2 now I have to do research to buy blank media ,great #39;(
dont worry about the buffers being 96% my NEC's hover around that ,The buffer dropping off may be the drive doing WOPC tests ,basically the drive constantly checks the laser power to make sure you get optimal burns over a wide range of media ,what drive is it ?
Looks like I'd better get my finger out and get US consulate to issue my visa quicker so i can move.
catch a flight HALO if you have to even hop and pop buy as many discs as you can turn yourself in to Immigration and they will deport you next flight free of charge ,could work
