reduce the write speed and see what happens .My Nec 2500 had the same problem when I tried to write at MAX speed ,dialed it down to 4x and the burns were really good DVD+R (Disc ID: CMC MAG-E01-00) (Speeds: 4x, 8x) this media you have in a word SUCKS Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden is the way to go

Pioneer is Pioneer nobody making drives for them that I know of . I own a Pioneer 115 Rom thats older than the hills original firmware no updates and it reads everything I've thrown at in the last 6-8 years or something like that . They make good drives, maybe use a cleaning disc if you use it alot .Installing other layers ASPI I dont think is necessary SPTI works fine. I have an old ASUS board an A7V never updated drivers and never had a problem .My biggest complaint was other people using my comp and screwing it up Get back to basics and go from there quality media ,and maybe you could borrow another burner for testing on that particular machine .You've covered a lot of ground with the things you've done already ,I think its media that causes most of the problems we see here and before IMGburn

This is the IMGburn support forum if you want to discuss burning then it will have to be with IMGburn we dont support any other programs. Burn to good media Tayio Yuden,or Verbatim and use IMGburn to burn and you wont have a problem and if you do then include a Log file from the burn and you'll recieve all the help you need

yes it will burn anything thats an ISO even Dual Layer discs up to 8.5 gigs the limit of DL blanks . For shrinking video files and making ISO's I use DVD Shrink works excellent
