in case you dont know M.I.D. is the manufacturers ID (who makes the dye) Open IMGburn put a disc in the burner and from the window that opens look for the ID for example these are Ritek -R 8X NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG 2.1A (ATA) Current Profile: DVD-R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2,297,888 Free Space: 4,706,074,624 bytes Free Time: 510:40:38 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x Pre-recorded Information: Manufacturer ID: RITEKG05 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Book Type: DVD-R it could also be as simple as the players dont like the media you're using or are so old they dont support the + format

Rip with Decrypter burn DL with imgburn -- CRASH
polopony replied to gr8hands's topic in ImgBurn Support
unless you're burning to Verbatim +R Dual Layer discs there is a chance its your media ,the Verbs are the only discs that give consistant good burns .Posting a complete log is the way to go it would have shown what media you're using.Make sure your firmware is up to date like Chewey says .You'll have to find out who makes your drive then open IMGburn and right click on your drive in the Destination window and read the last line then follow the prompts and make note of what version firmware your drive has and look for a newer one and flash it FYI we dont discuss Decrypter and ripping here for legal reasons ,its why its gone and not being supported at all -
you probably can't write at 1x .I havent seen 1x support for media or drives since dvd burning first started .Theres nothing wrong with writing at 4x all the stuff I've burned at 4x in the past plays fine just use quality media .By todays standards 4x is slow although I burn everything at 6x these days

The other we can do has the same problem as the above in that the US would never sanction it. Employ the war on drugs AGAINST terrorism. Say, when you seize a shipment of cocaine, smuggle it into breeding grounds of recruited terrorists and GIVE it away to them. If everyone's stoned, no one can effectively pull off a suicide bombing! You can barely stand up let alone remember to stand up, run, and detonate an explosive pack. DB you might suggest the sedetive drugs or some weed the I'll get to it tomorrow drug .Coke makes for some crazed people, a suicide bomber on blow no thanks

open dvd info pro look at the top you'll see RPM pop a DVD in the drive make sure its the drive that Info sees and hit start, check the speed graph. You can set the drive to the actual speed instead of setting it to MAX and see if it helps

once you get above 4.3 gigs you're into Dual Layer (DVD9) discs that you can put 8.5 gigs worth of video on without compression . These discs are a good bit more expensive than single layer (DVD 5).If you need the D/L's then use Verbatim Dual Layer +R discs they are the only discs that give good results consistently. I only use DVD5 4.7 single layer, remove all the junk from my video, use a little compression and they play and look fine and cost about $ .40 cents each

Taiyo Yuden +R 8X supports burning up to 16X and Verbatim +R 8X also supports up to 16x ,You wont get any better discs, with the Verbs dont get the 'White Pearl " type the dye manufacturer is memorex (crap) you want the MCC dye. These are all I use with an NEC3500 burner and not 1 bad burn so far _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG 2.1A (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 2,295,104 Free Space: 4,700,372,992 bytes Free Time: 510:03:29 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MCC-004-00 Book Type: DVD+R Part Version: 1 _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG 2.1A (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R Disc Information: Status: Complete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Sectors: 2,285,872 Size: 4,681,465,856 bytes Time: 508:00:22 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: YUDEN000-T02-00 Book Type: DVD+R

sorry but you wont get any suggestions on how or what to use to rip or bypass copy protection on DVD's . Legal problems forced the demise of DVD Decrypter and to jepordize this forum with talk of bypassing copy protection wont happen . Perhaps Google can help
