NOT playing a sound after fast erasing RW media
blutach replied to emtec666's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
You could try the "oh no" from VobBlanker. I think it better reflects your true feelings. Regards DoneKO.zip -
Thanks one and all. Special thanks to AC. :D Had a great day - I may even get laid, if I'm really lucky!!!! Regards

There's no need for DVD Shrink for DL backups. Especially do not output to ISO as the layer break is incorrectly set. If you must use it (to strip streams for example), output to files. Regards
-
So, keep this on for good now and you'll not be bothered by the extremely annoying pause at the LB (this was so badly done (especially) in early DL movies, I once actually took a disk back - Matrix 1 - cos I thought it was broken!). Regards

Add sector info to "No LB" ("End of the world") message
blutach replied to tartak's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
You can of course use the preview to find the right place and also make it look nice. Or use seamless and just don't worry. But it also can't hurt to add a decimal point. As for proceeding anyway, yes those players are very much outa spec but so many "kiss" players work OK. I might suggest adding an "Are you really sure - DL media is real expensive so don't blame me if it turn out shithouse" dialogue to those who click "Yes". Regards -
You're gunna need to experiment with 1 DVD. Do a DL burn with check seamless ticked. And try to play across the layer break and see if it plays OK (you shouldn't even notice the LB). Most modern players happily play seamless LB. Once you've done one, you'll know if your players will support this. Regards
-
If your players support it, check seamless all the time. Tools --> Settings --> General --> Layer Break and tick "Check Seamless". Regards
-
As LUK! said, it will be fixed for the next version. And your 12 burns presumably play well. Regards

Add sector info to "No LB" ("End of the world") message

Most people would use the freeware VobBlanker which uses DVD2AVI and works in sectors. If you need VOBUs, you can calculate them from the VOBU_ADMAP table. In the above case, 253163 is the entry sector of the cell and I am splitting 32918 in, so the "abolute sector" is 286081. People need to know this info (ie where in cel # a split might be OK). Regards -
I agree, it's just plain nagging and therefore immature. However, with the passage of time, people's moods and priorities change (e.g. there was such a groundswell to burn files and folders that the boss implemented Build mode). Nonetheless, LUK has made his position clear. Regards
-
I agree actually. Dragging and dropping is nice, too, but sometimes you overlap windows and it's a bit easier to right click. Maybe cynthia can suggest this :D :D Regards

Very very unusual that IE will want to take a hold of your burner. I really can't think of any instance that it would do that. Regards

You on some sorta home network where something else might have been trying to get a hold of the drive? Or running any other app that involves the drive? Regards

ImgBurn burns files in alphabetical order. Can this be changed?
blutach replied to SIMPLE_GUY's topic in ImgBurn Support
Yes, it will. Regards -
(At least) one of the betas has a linux build. Regards
-
Here's what I do if there's a miscompare anywhere. 1. Make an ISO of the DVD Video files using build mode. 2. Switch to verify mode and verify the burned disc against the ISO - note the errors; if they are in the early sectors (0-300), they are time and date. If you wanna get technical, use the sector editor to find which is which. The OP wants to verify his data is written OK, so this should do it. Regards

FAT32? BAH!!! FAT is 64 ... Wish my waist was just 32" again Regards

Time maps should not be not relevant here. They are simply a x-ref between the display time and sectors and are used to seek to a specific time on the disk. As I explained to Sliztzan on CDF, players will not correctly seek if the timemap is wrong or if the PGC is not one sequential. However, what's happening here is that the window isn't being displyed at all. Regards
-
I'm sure the ISO is mastered OK - the 2 I've just tried are. It's a bug in the Preview for sure. Regards
-
Who? Me? No - it's a bug in the preview window drawing, I would think. It's absolutely reproducible 100%. What's interesting is that the Preview thread goes from very high CPU usage (like it's trying to display) to 0 (I guess the "display" has finished). Regards
-
Right! Got it now. As the OP and mmalves said, you have to select Tools - ISO - IFO Layer Break Info. Then it becomes apparent (actually, not apparent at all). Regards
-
No problem here. Must be that the preview isn't showing. I guess kill the preview in Task Manager and try again. Regards
-
No, I meant Coral - like this stuff. Regards
