But once you have your source data, putting it on a DL disk makes no difference to the video quality. Plus it is more costly, and seems riskier since there is only one decent brand ouf DL disks out there (Verbatim).
Go get a good single layer blank (Verbatim or Yuden) and burn your project

Sorry chickenmonger,
But at least for me, your colours are substiantially worse than those in the prog. The blue and green meld into each other and are far less distinguishable for us regular folks.
Perhaps for guys like you, a letter system could be done (EX, VG, G, AV)?

I couldn't find it either - but I had already specified a label (via the DVD-TXT info). Maybe it is only there if the label is not present, but then I thought it took the folder name.

La Butch? Kinda oxymoronic, ain't it?
I do like COOL HORN I but best is A CHAFF GERM RIMS NUTS. It so describes Shaums - down to a tee (or a nut).

If you have a look at one of the graphs that ImgBurn puts out, all will become apparent. The drive starts off revolving at a certain rate (rps). Due to there being less data on the inside, the burn rate is less. The rps declines so the burn speed is constant. Then, when it hits a "low", the drive kicks up again to get to a new peak, declining to a low and then building up again etc.
The following graph makes it very clear what is going on (green line):
