  5. Make a bitmap of the new screen (use whatever you like to make it look pretty). Download Muxman and VobBlanker and install them anywhere convenient. Set up VB for your temp folder and for the path to Muxman. Now substitute the homemade BMP for the original screen. Essentially click Process on the VTS with the menus. Double click up the top and this will open the menu PGCs. Next, double click the PGC with the screen you wanna replace. Now, click the cell and click Still. Select File from the dropdown box and go to the new BMP. OK and close and OK a few more times till you get back to the main GUI. Tick process in place and process menus (untick process titles). Click process down the bottom and you're there. Sounds hard, it's actually easy and there's a guide on the site (see here). Regards
  6. Arthor?, who is Arthor?, I thought his name was ******* (Makes note to self, treble check all speeling for my next 20 posts or I will?really? regret it...) Mark Wait till you meet a bloke called Volvo Regards
  7. My understanding is that it is a good idea to open the drive door as this re-initialises the disk and proves it can be read - which is after all what we are seeking to do with verify. Regards
  8. 1. DVD Shrink is free. The DVD Shrink forum has a sticky on where to get the version that automatically calls ImgBurn to burn. I'd reinstall all your programs. 2. Just answer "Yes". Regards
  9. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA Shamus. You'll keep. Regards
  10. Firey's away on hols with her mum and has reported that she has been tried to be picked up by Lezzos on 2 occasions. I told her she must look like one of them and that I wish they did that to me. Regards
  11. Guess I should buy a couple of hunded now while they are still M.I.S. Regards

  14. Yeah - that is one thing I do and that is keep data on one drive (SATA) and OS and progs on another (IDE). Makes life nice and easy. Regards
  15. Buffers emptying are usually a sign that the machine is doing something and requires memory/CPU etc. I know it is restrictive, but it might pay for you to turn off emails and the like while burning. Not sure of your rig - a dual core should lessen fluctuating buffer issues. In any event, this does not address your issue of the device MD5. Regards
  16. ISOPuzzle is an excellent product. Many people wonder at it. Works just as you have suggested. Regards
  17. Looking forward to the feedback. BTW: Even with 2Gb, I reckon a 256Mb buffer is a trifle high - that's more than 10% of your memory. I have 1Gb and run at 40Mb. In discussions with LUK while testing, his view was little if any benefit would be gained over 40Mb (which is what I run with consistent success) and that is the default for all 1Gb+ rigs. I am sure he'll correct me if I have misunderstood him. Regards
  18. Open ImgBurn and Help - ImgBurn logs. Verify is verrrrry useful, too. Without it, you can't tell if it's not just a bad burn or a bad blank or two. Regards
  19. Wonder how things would go with the read buffer at default? Just musing, but could this have anything at all to do with it? Regards
  20. I suppose the logs were free and clear? Did you verify? Regards
  21. Pity there's no way to get LGs to output statistics, too. I suppose you'd need to be Houdini to do that one. Regards
  22. He should send them a Cease and Desist. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA Regards
  23. EDIT - kev's right. Regards
  24. @Neil Wilkes Ignoring that your mother had more than just a hard time teaching you how to be polite - perhaps she ran out of castor oil - I did read what you wrote, yes. You don't have to author it that way. And perhaps you can break where visually the pause won't matter. In any event, please go back to mum and ask for lessons in being polite. Regards
  25. Well said, bootsector! Bloody well said. Regards
