Two programs work and two programs don't, wouldn't that mean there is a bug in your machine?

I'm sure that will never happen....if you knew the past you probably wouldn't have suggested it.

Do you have any other CD/DVD related programs running? AnyDVD, Virtual drives, packet writing software, etc....turn them off.

Go to the Tools list and run the Filter Driver Load Order and paste the findings here.

Have you tried to plug the drive into the SATA port your Litey is on?

You don't have to spend the extra money on dual layer discs.....99.9% of all movies can be compressed to fit onto a sinlge layer disc with little to no noticable loss of quality.

You could also try to load the VIDEO_TS folder into a compression tool such as Nero Recode or DVD2One to see if the disc size can be reduced enough to accomodate a single layer disc.

Glad you got it sorted. Just for future reference we recommend Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden as their quality standards seem to be tighter and you see those "bad production runs" less frequently. Happy burning

Use the term reliably loosely

Just curious why you wouldn't want to know when a new version is available...it's not like there is a new release every couple of weeks like some other programs.

You might try running your ripped files through DVD Shrink to make the playback region free.

Try another brand of media...it seems your burner doesn't like those Prodiscs.

It all looks like it went well until the verifacation of 10 09.avi... Does the disc play in your standalone?

I don't see a 1-03 firmware available for your drive on L&D's page...there is a 1-02, but the only 1-03 is for an AD 7173A. Are you sure you flashed your drive with the correct firmware? Try 1.03 instead ~ http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/Optiarc-AD-7170A/

A good burn? A firmware update won't be a bad idea either and should increase your chances at success....good luck.
