  1. Don't give Shamus any new picture ideas!
  2. Decided to go for a wireless mouse since the cost difference was only about $5. While it does mean that I will have to replace batteries in the mouse, it is still easier than cleaning mice balls. :& A few things got better, a few that were worse. The scroll wheel wasn't notched, so, I won't get any of those annoying not quite there clicks. And the screen rolls up and down back and forth quickly. With a smoothly scrolling wheel, that shouldn't happen. But, will probably break down sooner. The Back and Forward buttons for web navigation are now on the left side, which is rather idiotic! Plus, they don't always seem to work. Back also seems to be the bottom button, which makes sense if you remember Up and Down swapping for Forward and Back. I'd have done things differently, but, I usually would. My way is called better.
  3. Well, there are the mind altering subroutines that make you want celery, corn, wombats with Tweety waterwings to engage with necrophagic sex with mice...
  4. Yeah, more and more false positives are being reported because the antivirus vendors are becoming more and more fucks. They don't exchange information back and forth because there is no standardization. And, there is no standardization because each company wants the lion's share of the AV pie. Thus, they all work together in relative vacuums, which means, in the end, its the users who are inconvenienced.
  5. I'd forgotten Mr. Fixer's money maker shaker avatar! Goes well with Kev's in proving to the world that we're all morally corrupt degenerates. Right, Darkfalz?
  6. 2.1? I'm waiting for 3.0! With automatic CMC disc detection and replacement feature.
  7. I will send you... an army... of ghosts. They may be of some comfort to you on... doomsday.
  8. You will do it now. You belong to us. You will be like us. You will be upgraded.
  9. How many points of articulation does this figure have? i.e. where does it pose at? Looks like the shoulders and hips, but, what about the elbows? The knees? Articulation on par with the Dapol Cyberman? More? Less?
  10. Some upcoming items for the recent season of Doctor Who that have caught my interest. http://www.scificollector.co.uk/scifishop/...7-6/newser3.jpg http://www.scificollector.co.uk/scifishop/...7-6/newser4.jpg Yes, the new style Cybermen was just beginning for an action figure! So close to Robocop and the Iron Giant, both of which have had toys released. http://www.scificollector.co.uk/scifishop/...oct/newser2.jpg CYBERMEN SOCKS! "Your feet will be upgraded! Your wallet will be depleted. You BELONG to us!" http://www.scificollector.co.uk/scifishop/...hes/AUTUMN4.jpg The only thing lethal to the Daleks? The smell of Dad's sweaty feet! http://www.scificollector.co.uk/scifishop/...es/AUTUMN11.jpg What a creative Dalek ploy! Simply trick people into putting on ties, the activate them remotely to constrict and choke everyone to death!
  11. Oh, no... what terrible to news to get back to back! David Maloney and Peter Hawkins have died! #39;( And, I had just so recently heard Maloney on the running commentary for the Genesis Of The Daleks DVD.
  12. Which web browser are you using? It may not be the accelerator as opposed to the browser. For instance, I've noticed Firefox tends to want to sometimes write to the HD, causing ImgBurn to slow down by contrast.
  13. Did they attempt to fit in Abducted By The Daleks?
  14. Yeah, the infamous, starting with the 2004 version, the sudden "I'm not installed! Re-install me!" registration check. It thinks it's not registered, it asks you to re-register, appears to work, but REBOOT and it doesn't. Symantec has been falling apart for 10 plus years. So, of course, they bought up things like Drive Image... and THEY stopped working right, too. Symantec is 2nd only to Microsoft. And only barely manages to stay ahead of Roxio.
  15. http://www.mumbaimirror.com/nmirror/mmpape...881200621443171 Seems they's gots some 'splainin' ta do.
  16. Oh, there will never be a mouse that fits my hand comfortably. Did you know part of me is 8 inches? My wrist! No, I never fit comfortably in this word built for normals. For I am Ozymandius, king of men! My preference for the optical mouse is because the standard mouse was NEVER made to be cleaned easily. Yet, it MUST be cleaned because of its very construction.
  17. Actually, I have several brand new mice from various computers over the years that I could use. But, after I went optical, I never want to go back! The last time I had to clean a mouse nut or the contacts was to use a mouse on a computer at the library to browse the catalog. It wasn't working, so, I opened it up and sure enough, the contacts were filthy.
  18. Nope, tried that. The foot is made of some kind of material that isn't condusive to store glue. Or, the surface where it was originally stuck on isn't. The glue isn't sticking, bottom line, for whatever reason.
  19. It's interesting what we come across. I will have to replace my optical mouse. After about, oh, what, 7 years for an entirely stupid reason. One of the rubber feet came off! So, it drags and breaks the "contact" of the light, resulting in jagging mouse movements. And, to think, it wasn't the laser as I expected to go out... but a damn, stupid carbon bond breakdown from a simple adhesive!
  20. Well, they ARE the superior form of life. BUT, remember, it was Van Staten who said that, not the Dalek. And, no, I don't accept what Daleks say. Remember their psychological profile from the Doctor Who role playing game supplements: Daleks will lie when it suits them.
  21. You're just jealous of my magnanimous powers of retention! I can see something once and recall lines.
  22. Makes one wonder how many cures there are for things. How was it put in Dalek? "Why sell a cure when I can sell a thousand pallatives?"
