Sorry Grain, after reading my post again it sounded really narky and I didn't mean it that way I agree with you tho re the quality, I have a blu-ray player (in the PS3, obviously not going to be the best quality given Sony's history) and you can really tell the difference between the DVD and the bluray films. We have a 32" LCD tv and in combo it looks superb and makes DVDs on a SD tv look quite ropey. The bluray player in the PS3 also upscales DVDs, now I don't know how it works but again you can see a difference can't you ? I guess if I had to buy a standalone player I would probably wait as I am not sure who will win out altho bluray does appear to be edging it at the mo. I got the bluray player inc in the PS3 so it's not really a big deal is it ? As for the porn Shamus I thought a deal was in the offing to allow such films to be on bluray but obviously I don't really know much about that as those kind of films don't interest me !!!
