  1. I have the same burner as you and the 4x speed used on DL media (RICOHJPN dye and Verbatims) is the joke of the century - try 6x write speed instead.
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, jefe2119! http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=10650
  3. Tried to uninstall it in the Windows Device Manager and then restart the computer to get it reinstalled?
  4. A very small source file in this log. Looked at some other logs with this burner and they all seems to read discs painfully slow. http://forum.imgburn.com/lofiversion/index.php/t9186.html I guess there is some type of reading lock that needs to be fixed by a modified firmware. More or less what was pointed out in post #2. Try to use MediaCodeSpeedEdit and the option with read speed increase in it. Found this in the log for the same program. http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE/ Just remember that the warranty will be gone with the wind if you flash with non original firmware. Never had a LG burner myself, but I once tried it on a Pioneer and that option made the Pioneer slower than with that option not enabled. Might help on the LG however.
  5. Sounds as it's time to get a new burner.
  6. Many burn errors were never reported in that old program - so even if you think it's ok - it might not be error less.
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, Death1223! Try this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=10650
  8. Perhaps a gadget in the Vista desktop that's causing it?
  9. I would go for a nice/good internal IDE burner and put in a USB box. If you then want to replace the burner in the future you still have the box.
  10. Do you have a lap top or regular computer? External ones are in general internal ones with a box around itself. The problematic ones are the half height ones you see in lap top computers. Full heights seems to work better.
  11. Also look in the log after the row with the media code - it should state the available speeds on the same row.
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum, Nynex! Perhaps the combination of media and burner only supports 4x as the lowest possible speed...
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, So Solid Jedi! Disable it and run the mode Verify to see if you still get errors (assuming you still have the source you burned with).
  14. Here are some on line shops. I guess you live in the USA. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  15. You get the most accurate scans if you scan at 4x speed in DVDInfoPro.
  16. I fully agree. The new design of the plot boxes looks good! Do yo have any plans to add support for local language files? Like if there is a text file in the same folder as the program - it will use the translated text strings in the program. That would be a nice thing for non English users.
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, Rinua36! You are only adding one file in the build mode.
  18. That firmware might give better support for the various discs you can put in that burner.
  19. media code = the thing that tells what dye that was used for the discs. External burner is one that you have outside the computer and connected with a cable to your computer, like an USB cable. Internal slim line lap top burners are mostly more tricky to get good burns with that the normal heights burners.
  20. That burner - is it inside a laptop or a regular computer? If it's the first - go for an external (USB) - the later one - it's easy if you know how to use a screwdriver. Verbatims made in Japan can be with Taiyo Yuden media codes.
  21. Might be something in your settings - sure you have enabled the option to receive immediately notes?
  22. Memorex is not that good either and Matshita burners are very tricky with media.
  23. You should be able to change the profile now.
  24. You can get one and still have some money left... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827129040 $27.99...
  25. If the firmware is not suited for your burner - it will show that message.
