I don't know what type of computer you have; desktop or laptop. If you have a desktop - it's very easy to install a DVD burner. If you have a laptop - go for an external burner. For the desktop burner - get the right connection whether it's a SATA or IDE connector in the computer. I guess you have a IDE connector as the current installed CD writer/burner is rather old.

You can't use any CDs if you want to burn that particular image. The only way to burn that image is through a DVD burner/writer. I usually call those things DVD burners - but some members call them DVD writers. It's the same thing - they transfer the image file to a DVD disc. (In Swedish we use the word burners. A writer is for me something that writes on paper).
-
The size of the image file is to big to be written to a CD. Good quality CDs should work with your burner. Verbatim is one brand. DVD burners/writers are very cheap these days.
-
You only have a CD reader/writer and a DVD reader. You need to get a DVD writer.
-
If you press the 'Remove' button after selecting the unwanted filter - in the filter function it's gone. Did you restart the computer?

Hi and welcome to the forum, Giampo2010! Yes you can manually burn the DVD files from that program with ImgBurn.

Hi and welcome to the forum, GENNADY! You have a virus/malware. Try the cleaning tools mentioned in this thread. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=10375

Hi and welcome to the forum, jimmy06! Have you tried another speed - like 4x?
-
It's mainly a test to see if the data can be delivered to the writer quickly enough to avoid 'data starvation' as you can see in this log part: W 10:17:05 Waiting for buffers to recover... (LBA: 102944) W 10:17:11 Waiting for hard disk activity to reach threshold level... It also gives a check that your writer can deal with the commands that is sent to it during the write phase. As the laser beam is never activated, it can't test that the media will burn without burn fails, generated by bad write quality. I'll add the above to the guide to avoid future confusion.

Hi and welcome to the forum, Sethios! Any chance you can post a log from one of those burns?
-
I guess the Samsung SE224Q is pretty much the same as my 223H and it burns ok at 6x. I do love my Pioneers more, as I get better burn results with that media with those.

WaitImmediateIO: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out
Cynthia replied to Seany123's topic in ImgBurn Support
You can get odd results if the burner is attached to a RAID set up SATA connector. Tried to attach it to an non RAID connector? Sometimes you can change the setting in the BIOS from RAID to IDE. See the manual of your mother board. -
Try to make a copy of the VTS_04_0. BUP file to replace the current VTS_04_0. IFO file.

worked nice, but now I can't burn any kind of disc!!!
Cynthia replied to Tavinsky's topic in ImgBurn Support
I like Pioneers. Later Optiarcs like the 720x and 724x seems also to give nice results. Just stay away from rebadged burners. -
No. Even if you select 2.4x as desired speed, it will burn at 4x. Post a log from one burn and we can see if there is anything odd in the log.
-
Hi and welcome to the forum, skatersss! Nothing odd in the log. If you are using the same discs as before it worked and it suddenly stops working, then I would suspect that the burner broke down. If it writes at around 8x for the part that is without problems - you can rule out DMA issues. Try to use a cleaning disc and if you still get problems - get a new burner.
-
You could use the read mode of the program to make sure that it can be read.

Image Information doesn't display "&" properly (FIXED)

No problems to read the image here. -

No, it's not. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S182D/files.html -
If the user tries to over burn it shows up as a warning in the logs, so I doubt that one is the one to blame.

NOT enough space on this disc to burn the image

Nero Recode is notorious on either oversizing or undersizing the amount of desired MB you specify in the settings. -
It's possible to get free help from Microsoft even if you don't have a paid support subscription as long as the issue is with The Microsoft Windows Update program. https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527

It's possible to hide them. I have a lot of language pack hidden. Can't just remember how you do it. Perhaps right click on the row for the update item?

Sounds as your drivers are reporting something odd. I have the same burner but no such speed on my Verbatims. Can you post a log from one of those less good burns?
