  1. Don't feel sorry. I don't think the stuff around the 'silent' updates are that secret - I was just to lazy to dig them up. But if your device/media supports the OPC feature - it do gives you some better burns. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...ost&p=65870
  2. That one was not in one of the silent program updates. I think it was only added to the change log silent. Do a search on a certain authors name and the word 'silent', that should get you the four things that was added.
  3. In Nero 7 (and earlier versions) the name is Nero CD-DVD Speed and in Nero 8 it's Nero DiscSpeed.
  4. Could be the arrival of the new media such as Blu-ray. To have a program name that only includes the word 'CD-DVD' could imply that it will only support those types. To add two other types makes the program name long and perhaps the sole intention of the new name is to avoid a long program name such as Nero CD-DVD-HD-Blu-ray Speed. Nero 8 is now also released in a new flavor - Nero 8 HD. So the name change could be the reason of that. I can't see that they are developing both Nero CD-DVD Speed and Nero DiscSpeed. The latest update is only for the later program.
  5. What's new Added tooltips Many small improvements and bug fixes http://www.cdspeed2000.com/
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum, Lost_One! Can you post a log file? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  7. Perhaps best to set the Microsoft Update function to only notify you on updates and not let it install stuff on its own. If you have it set up so.
  8. There is a version 8.3.1.1011. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherb...?ProductID=2743
  9. Optiarc released a bunch of new firmwares for some days ago. There is a 1.05 version now for your burner. http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/en/support-s...-ad-series.html
  10. Click on this icon in the build mode and the created image will be saved to your hard disk, instead of being burned directly. Can you post the full log of the failed burn attempt? You find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs If you have a RW disc, try with that one so you don't waste any discs during your runs. When you know it works - switch to regular discs. It will be less expensive for you.
  11. Looked at same old post about BenQ devices. One poster suggest to enable the OverSpeed function.
  12. Your burner don't like that brand of media. Post the full log. Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  13. Shooting it down before the verify should give you an answer to that.
  14. Hi! As far as I know, only the latest series - the 72xx - supports DVD-RW DL. The +RW DL is not supported by any Optiarc writer.
  15. The source material you are building from - is that on your hard disk?
  16. Did some search and as far as I can see this burner should deal with this brand of discs.
  17. Hej och v
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum, bbsmitho! Usually there are even CD versions to download, isn't there another installation set you can download instead of the DVD DL one?
  19. Then you need to use the 'Image' option as output. Then the created image can be burned in the 'Write' mode of the program. It could be done to burn directly to your burner if you had had another reader/burner as the source, but as you only have one reader/burner installed - you need to create an image first.
  20. Even the free version of ISOBuster allows extracting of VCD to mpg, according to their homepage. Then use DVDFlick to compile the various sources to a DVD with out without a menu. http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/conver...vd/vcdtodvd.htm
  21. If you don't know how to deal with the book type tool - look in section 4.2.12.1 and 4.2.12.2 in this guide.
  22. Hi and welcome to the forum, Cotay! There is no written guide. Only admin and one other that have this equipment, so only they know how it works.
  23. If you want to burn them directly - use the 'Device' as output instead of 'Image'. If you use 'Image' as output - then you need to shift to 'Write' mode after the creation of the image and then write them through that mode.
  24. Guess it's high time for me to read the FAQ thread.
  25. Use the download page/installers on this page: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
