Matshita burners are not my favourite and the RICOHJPN-D01-67 code you have on your discs can be tricky to burn in a lot of burners. The Verbatims are the ones that works most of the times without issues.

Might be worth a try with a cleaning disc. If it fails with all three available speeds, I would give the burner a one way ticket to the nearest dumpster as it can't burn high quality media without creating errors.

All decent burners works with Windows and ImgBurn. Do you have SATA connectors I would go for an Optaric AD-7240S or the cheaper (no DVD-RAM burning) model AD-5240S or the ones in the same series. You can read about it and see how well it performs on various media in the Drives section of the forum. I'm certain that there are also other brands models that works nice with Verbatim media. It's just me that likes Nec based writers.

I just ran the firmware and it showed a dos box real quick, did it work? What do I need to do just dbl click on the exe? You have used 2.4x write speed in both logs. Did you try the 4x write speed?

The problem is in the burner. Looks as the only option is to get a new one. SlimLine burners are not great with DL media so I would suggest you get a regular external USB burner.
