Dvdshrink can do any movie released, It just struggles now to be an all in one solution, as it cannot defeat protection. It can re-author anything that has no protection.

I would pick 1906449->1975248 vts_05 But I am no expert Blutach however will be spot on with his choice and advice It seems a little strange that the start time for that vts is 00:00:00 But I am not fluent in dual layer burning other than everything I have tried works. I will be waiting for Blutach to tell me why not to choose the one I would be Tempted to pick.

Idiots. That is an Olympic Size running track for Disc mites. Btw all my -r disc's have this no matter what brand. My dvd+r have a similar ring just not in same place, I always pressumed this was maybe the Power Calibration Area.

You may have a batch of verbs that are not good, slim odds on that but suppose it could happen. See shop(company) you bought it from to see if you can swap it for a pioneer 112, tell them it's failing to write to very expensive verbatim dual layer media. Have you got something else running like anydvd or dvd43 or any other util that accesses drive ?

Keep it simple and buy an external enclosure and a liteon writer, you could get a pioneer 112 but will have to watch out which enclosure you get to avoid semaphore timeout errors. (the same applies to lots of writers and enclosures) As an example I have loads of sumvision external enclosures these are combo firewire and usb2 all my liteons benq's, optiarc, etc work excellent with this enclosure, however all my pioneer's give very random semaphore timeout errors (the chipset in these enclosures is PL3507 made by Prolific. The other sumvision enclosures I have are just Usb only PL2507 made by Prolific and my pioneer writers have no issues i.e i do not get semaphore timeout errors.

Don't forget to set the booktype to DVD-ROM otherwise they will not work.

try with better discs, scan all your hard drives for errors, check for newer firmware for writer, use better discs, give up with that writer and get a pioneer 112.
