You will only ever see the this device can perform faster if you plug a usb2 high speed device into a 1.X usb whether or not it is a usb 2 port or windows has turned ya usb2 port into usb 1X Try using top left usb port on back of mobo, especially if you got Asus mobo. And if your getting 27k a second it's more like bluecrap, well aol silver package bluetooth.

Shrink Can't Open ISO's split to 3.99 GB on FAT32
dontasciime replied to calweycn's topic in ImgBurn Support
What IO are you using also is the file splitting set to Auto edit i have just formatted one drive to fat32 again and read iso that was 5 gig + and shrink read in mds file in no trouble, your are using open disc image in shrink and not open disc ? or is the disc you read in a VR one ie one from a home dvd recorder -
LUK, sorry did not know was not supposed to mention what i typed, deleted now. Tbh i should have realised.

in general look for the high speed certified logo This as i have found out is not an absolute guarantee of High Speed as i bought a Topfield panther pvr with this Logo, and its a little faster than usb 1.1 and a dam disgrace IMO after displaying a certified logo. you can check this link out to see if you can gleam any further info http://www.usb.org/developers/usb20/press11_15.html What i would say is connect your usb device to your back ports. run Nero info tool and look at configuration tab, then look under enhanced pci to usb etc, EHCI or whatever version of usb2 is implemented into your mobo chipset. Your USB2 Device should be listed under there if not then your controller is usb1, the device is, the cable is. Mine looks like this on a7v8x Nero InfoTool 3.02 Interface Information --------------------- Adapter 1 --------- Description : Primary IDE Channel Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\atapi.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : IDE/ATAPI Port Driver Attached Devices Description : Master: Maxtor 6B200P0 Type : Disk Drive DMA : On Description : Slave: BENQ DVD-ROM 16X Type : CD-Rom Drive DMA : On Autorun : On Adapter 2 --------- Description : Secondary IDE Channel Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\atapi.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : IDE/ATAPI Port Driver Attached Devices Adapter 3 --------- Description : Primary IDE Channel Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\atapi.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : IDE/ATAPI Port Driver Attached Devices Description : Master: HDS722525VLSA80 Type : Disk Drive DMA : On Adapter 4 --------- Description : Secondary IDE Channel Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\atapi.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : IDE/ATAPI Port Driver Attached Devices Description : Master: Maxtor 6B300S0 Type : Disk Drive DMA : On Adapter 5 --------- Description : Primary IDE Channel Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\atapi.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : IDE/ATAPI Port Driver Attached Devices Adapter 6 --------- Description : Secondary IDE Channel Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\atapi.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : IDE/ATAPI Port Driver Attached Devices Description : Master: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-108 Type : CD-Rom Drive DMA : On Autorun : On Description : Slave: WDC WD2500JB-22GVC0 Type : Disk Drive DMA : On Adapter 7 --------- Description : Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller Driver Description : system32\DRIVERS\usbehci.sys Company : Microsoft Corporation Version : 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Description : EHCI eUSB Miniport Driver Attached Devices Description : LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-1635S USB Device Type : CD-Rom Drive Autorun : On Description : Generic USB Storage-CFC USB Device Type : Disk Drive Description : Generic USB Storage-SDC USB Device Type : Disk Drive Description : Generic USB Storage-SMC USB Device Type : Disk Drive Description : Generic USB Storage-MSC USB Device Type : Disk Drive ************************ try hd tach for testing speed of usb etc maybe try the flash beta http://www.simplisoftware.com/Public/index...?request=HdTach I used to use another program for this, cannot remember what is was, sure it was a japanese program and it's killing me cos i want to remember so i can use it, downloaded it a few times, but got too many Tb/s to look thru to find it. [Edit] http://www.everythingusb.com/usb2/faq.htm Actually not that i found anything untowards but the driver scan maybe a little biased, take what it tells you witha pinch of salt, do not pay to download drivers. (that aint aimed at you Db) just anyone else reading this that maybe new to internet etc. Infact removed link

yes, no, no, yes.
-
Exactly I would also like it to tell me where my keys are.
-
I would as the nvidia ide and most of the nvidia drivers suck imo, full of bugs, you,ll get sata drive appearing as removable sometimes, fail a warm reset, bios/post hang, then onto the lan driver, disabling lan(Ie on a temp basis) on some nforce driver will reboot ya machine. Thank heavens for Ghost.
-
had a feeling it was nforce 3 or 4 and raptors. You should maybe try and install one time without the nforce ide driver, see if you, like me get even better performance IE Write rate. Though mine is 63,776 i ain't got raptors, shame they are gig limited and dear, i like the look of the x raptor but price kills me, could have a TB for same price as 2

what chipset is your mainboard based on also what make of hard drives you using

I tried a few times after ticking allow more than 8 Dir and each time failed, which is why rather than say its not working etc, wondered if there was another setting i was missing, Crappy mouse i am using at the minute left click is dodgy, you hear the micro switch click but does f all sometimes. Defaults as you mention are always the best for standardisation Stunning additions to your program yet again.
-
Actually i ticked it and must have unticked it again without realising, it fine now cheers
-
Thanks sure i tried that. I know ISO 8859-1 ignores it. Will give it another look

seems sony forgot to mention http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1959684,00.asp

I decided to buy the 360 after all, then i got my son one, ain't played on them much yet as busy setting up his desk and hd tv as you need one with these new consoles as my 15 fst tv is ok for xbox but for 360 ghost recon advanced war fighter i couldn't read the bloody writing, and 50 quid a game, though would hate to see price of ps3 games on blu as they have been touted as 70 quid a pop, cannot see it in reality if it is then its a big mistake.

bit expensive for a bread bin
-
i would have said down to bart as his stuff is more than likely what you used. http://www.nu2.nu/bootablecd/ http://www.nu2.nu/diskemu/

Ayone on here got lotus 1-2-3 dos version or know where i could get it from, thanks
-
you can get that with 2 instances of program running.
-
must have been the a09 had css rip lock off at default and the oem 109 had it on as i think i first mentioned but the opposite way. Either way i turned my 109 into a dvd reader only ! @ 14X

nope what that mean is your drive is not located at G:so the bat file i did for you would not work as your device is located at K: so get this and copy it to the folder you downloaded from me, when it says overwrite say yes, then run it. ascii just dont go swapping the ide cable the drive is connected to , or switch on any external usb devices that will shift your drive letters around, as in your original log file the drive was located at G: which is why i setup ascii.bat to be G: when from the info you posted in pic after i asked you to run dvdrflash by double clicking it your pioneer drive is located at K: which is why i updated the ascii.bat file for you to download and replace.

Buffer = 0 - NEC 3540A - Ultra DMA - DMA and Img Burn
dontasciime replied to kinghu's topic in ImgBurn Support
i never install the nvidia ide drivers anymore never had any of the nvidia ide drivers actually work the way they are supposed to , they suck, classes some sata maxtor drives as removable and give you the safe removal icon, just let xp sp2 pick up your devices (looks funny in device manager when using ms drivers with a few sata and pata hard drives etc) get nero,s info tool to give you a summary of dma etc,or expand the many primary and secondary in device manager and make sure to keep using an 80 wire ide cable.
