imgburn problem burning xbox360 DL images
dontasciime replied to softwaremedia's topic in ImgBurn Support
360 is a nice machine i bought 2 one for me one for my son. Likely hood of a chip this time round is slim, the rom drives firmware have been hacked a little though and along with wybi dvdinfo pro and a couple of other programs, allows backups to run but only on DL media. The image quality of the 360 is fantastic when used at 720p or 1080i cant notice any diff so i run at 720p. Saying that the older xbox can also run at 720p and it look amazing also, infact you get the feeling your using the 360. This is only available when used with high def pack and NTSC, as ms decided to disable this feature on xbox for PAL users. Enigmah to the rescue again / Only a handful of xbox games support 720p though. The media section on 360 has been crippled , unless you own a media centre PC. You can hook it up to xp pro etc and use media connect, but can only stream photos, and music (vid was crippled for xp-pro 2 360 etc) Games written to the metal of 360 are stunning, unfortunately there are only a couple the rest are money grabbing ports with no added features to merit release on new platform. 360 v ps3, maybe urban myth, but ex employee from i think ubisoft leaked , that the demo of the exclusive game to be released on ps3 at some show or another, was actually running on a 360 as ps3 version would not have been able to run it as was. 360 is worth having when they drop the games price to ?15 new and they write to the machines strength. Gears of war is an up and coming title which is supposed to be stunning. Maybe hype, won't know till i see it running. Wii, maybe worth having just depends on what Nintendo allow developers to run, instead of Kiddie friendly games -
thought i was losing my mind, any idea why ? not about my mind pm

And be prepared as LIGHTNING_UK said to witness this again, especially if the enclosure your using has the Ali M5621 A1 chipset. This revision cannot be flashed. The 3 or 4 sumvision usb2 enclosures i have that use prolific chipset do not suffer from semaphore timeout.

I liked the movie, then when i heard of stargate2, thought yeah , then realised it was tvm (pilot) for series thought , nah don't like that, then left it, then on re-run thought actually its ok and i liked it, well up until Richard Dean Anderson left or whatever happened to him.

I think it's time someone switched on the Moron registration filter. To those who insist that the change of program has caused you bad burns then how stupid are you to continue using the new program that is supposedly destroying your disc's. If your sure of your facts then go back and use the other program. Maybe consider taking spyware out of your machine, including anydvd , reinstall your op, replace your hardware. But most importantly give the author of this program some credit, I think he understands the commands he/his program sends.

when you use disk mgr and change drive letter , you changing it to the drive you want, has or is that drive letter been i use. If it has pick one letter that you know has never been in use. Then reboot and see if it sticks. or have you tried to remove the registry entry for the drive entry it used to be or the one you don't want it to be.

have you got an option in your bios called HPA ? or Predesktop Area ?

you should get hold of memtest+ and test your ram. check again all fans, wires, cables, change your psu for another. Disconnect any extra hard drives, rom drives on a temp basis to see if you can get past not being able to install operating system, (you need 1 rom drive though to test, but try 1 if fails, then disconnect that one try another etc) Maybe try another hard drive to see if you can install to that one. memtest+ iso

In the words of kenny Everett. "When England was a kingdom, we had a king. When we were an empire, we had an emperor. Now we're a country ... and we have Margaret Thatcher."

Should be getting anything from 22 meg a second to about 28meg max over usb2. Db if you buy a device and it says usb2.0 (full speed) it means it will work on usb2 and 1 and give you the full 12mbps, (dodgy wording and has conned loads of people) If you buy something that says usb2 high speed *with certified logo then it should signal at 480mhz and has max theoretical transfer of 480/8... though 480/8/1.125/and maybe further divided by another 1.125 to get a more accurate max theo transfer speed.. which would be 47,407k a second.. To further complicate it Not all logo'd certified high speed usb2 devices are that high speed , as previously mentioned i have a topfield 5800 Pvr that has this LOGO , due to the nature of the machine though it can only transfer just over 12mbps @ about 16mbps and as such can be certified HIGH SPEED, Annoyed the hell outta me as i was expecting like all my other high speed usb2 devices to be able to sustain at least 22 meg a second. So as long as your getting 22meg a second say whilst builing iso , shrink etc then your good to assume your using usb2 high speed.

The only sharing is the amount of bandwidth each attached device can use on the controller. Have you looked in the bios to make sure usb2 is on, incase you disabled it a while ago and forgot.

not at all, that ain't what i mean. Some one is saying your getting 900k , Shamus points out that infact your getting 27k, think it was chewy who pointed out 900k, was only saying if your only getting 27k you got problems, and that speed is more in line with what you could expect if you were using blue tooth, which i know your not.. You not got another external usb2 device , say enclosure to try or a usb2 flash pen etc.
