  1. Windows will incorrectly report the mode because there is a bug in their programming that they are aware of and haven't yet fixed. If you're still burning slow, follow the directions in the FAQ and delete the controllers and let Windows reinstall them on the next boot up to get back to the highest DMA from PIO.
  2. There should be no damage done, but to assure yourself of a good burn always verify the burn after it is done. AND...check the DMA as Shamus advised. You can find out how by reading the FAQ's section of the forum.
  3. Very subtle....
  4. Soooo, you have a coaster or two...welcome to the place to go for help. Did you ask for help or assume that you had the knowlege to use the program without reading the FAQ's and Guides and then posting a log of the failed attempt in order to get help...
  5. Not if you have the movie on your HDD as an .iso. If you are looking to 'rip' a movie from a protected disc, ImgBurn cannot do it and we do not discuss any form of piracy here. For that subject...Google is your friend.
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum kwikwi; That is not an error but a warning that the drive is reporting through ImgBurn. If all goes well and the disc verifies and plays, don't worry about it. How about posting the whole log, there is information there that can help us in the long run. spinner
  7. You can try either Verbatim (Made in Singapore) or Taiyo Yuden discs and maybe your drive will recognize it correctly. Also, please post a log of the failed burn.
  8. This program is not a ripper, therefore you need to Google what you want to do since we do not discuss any method to circumvent rights protection on this forum.
  9. Wrong main topic roach1974, maybe this would be better suited in CHAT since it's not an ImgBurn problem. ImgBurn doesn't convert anything. Try this... Read the Digital Digest article. What you want to do is a tough chore at best.
  10. Another one...
  11. Litz; Always... Absolute crappy material. Try some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim discs (Made in Singapore) and see if there isn't a difference.
  12. I 19:05:34 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 2,4x) dDoc; They are 8x discs and your drive doesn't recognize them as that... Your drive is a couple years old now and so you either need to get some slower burning discs, if you can find them or you need to replace the drive with a new one; the costs of drives is extremely reasonable now.
  13. This is what I was looking for by asking for a log posting by the way...
  14. Write speed is up to the media/firmware/drive combination that you are using. ImgBurn reports what the drive tells it and if you chose a speed different than the ones available, the drive will simply use the closest speed to the one you've selected. Post a log of your latest burn as there is more info there that can help. spinner
  15. I use AVG Free and haven't had a problem with it.
  16. There is an updated firmware for your drive. Your media choice is crap. Get some Verbatim (Made in Singapore) or Taiyo Yuden discs.
  17. it's the only one supported here. Have you tried to ??
  18. And that puts you square within the vast majority of the great unknowing who are not willing to learn...doesn't it????
  19. AND...Try cleaning your drive...
  20. Most probable...but it's pretty damned near impossible to tell without you helping a bit and posting the log...
  21. volvofl10
  22. Jim; The sellers know exactly what they are doing. You can trace the original asshole back to his first offering of copythatgame or whatever he calls it now and see that he knew/knows exactly what he's offering. His claim to legitimacy is the fact that he says he's offering his 'expertise' in the use of ImgBurn and that he's not charging for the product. He's also marketing resale rights to it as fast and hard as he can to websites and anyone else that will link to his page. Clickbank, PayPal and whatever other way the victim pays for it are all willing to make it right by refunding, for the time being, money spent on his fraud; but, how long that will last is anyones guess since they do not have sterling reputations either...As far as I am concerned, he's a bitch assed punk looking to make big $ at the expense of people looking to rip off the rightful owner of the media they are copying. spinner
