  1. As long as they are not underage I can't see a problem....
  2. Fireworks have been going off in my neighborhood since last weekend...the entire area sounds like a war zone...crazy assed red-necks can't even wait until the 4th to set fire to their grass....

  4. To all of our Canadan friends
  5. Thanks for keeping us up to speed on your work.
  6. I use the 1655 and haven't modified any settings. The buffer swinging back and forth hasn't hurt the burns and I prefer that the burner use whatever tools it has to ensure the best possible burn.
  7. I know...ain't life a bitch sometimes.....first we discuss my new, stiffer frame then we discuss my failing memory.......

    New Toy

SInce this is about toys... The only thing I know is I just bought one of THESE and I can't afford a new Blue Ray, HD, TIVO or Betamax player now..... so I don't care who wins the war......

  15. Floyd; First of all, welcome to the forum. As far as using the features of Shrink, I'd suggest that you GOOGLE DVDShrink and go from there since we cannot and do not discuss ripping/copy right protection/or any rippers on this forum. A couple ideas to ensure the best burns that you can make: 1. Make sure that you are using only Verbatim DataLife Plus ot Taiyo Yuden discs. There are many other brand names out there but none of them surpass the TY's Or Verbs. 2. Make sure that your burners firmware is up to date. 3. Use a program, like End-it-All, to shut down all unnecessary background programs before starting your project. 4. Don't multi-task while doing your project. If good and reliable copies and originals are what you are after, take the time to do them right using all of your machine resources. 5. When you run into a problem, and you will, always post the IB generated logfile along with your question. It contains information that we use to determine what happened/what we need to advise you to do. 6. Max speed is cool to use, but I burn no faster than 8X on singledensity media and have not had a failure in quite a long time. 7. ImgBurn is better than Roxio or Nero...period.
  16. I try lfc...I try.
  17. What a crock of... Every time this type of thread starts the dialog between gun lovers and members who wish guns didn't exist leads to the same reality...It's legal here in the States, maybe a bit overdone, but still legal. What a crock of...
  18. Blu, I want to apologize to you. You are sooooo right. I really need to start saying exactly what I feel instead of being ambiguous. I will try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
  19. Mainly these are made by CMC and are only fit for target practice and sun catchers. Not a good idea to use any of the past vewrsions of IB since the upgrades always correct little flaws that were discovered and past versions are not supported here. As far as wine is concerned, haven't got the foggiest how it works and what may be screwed up. Have you made sure that your firmware for the burner is up to date? A good idea would be to post a logfile when referring to problems as there is a lot of info that we can glean from it...
  20. I totally agree with you Cat. Things could be more dicked up I guess...but I can't figure out how.
  21. I didn't write it...I just quoted it....

  23. It would probably be a big help if you were to copy/paste the whole log for us to see rather than just the error...
