  1. Because if it wasn't there people would ask for it? You can turn off that prompt in Tools -> Settings -> Write tab (page 2)
  2. I meant insert the original disc in your memorex burner and copy the text from the Information box to a post here so that we can see how the burner recognizes the original disc.
  3. Then please post the log with Verbatim media failing to verify. Have you tried a lens cleaning disc on that drive? How about verifying the burn with the other drive you have?
  4. If it can't burn the best DL media and the lens are clean then it's time for a new burner, don't you think?
  5. With ImgBurn in Read mode, insert that disc in your Memorex burner and copy the text shown in the Information box of ImgBurn.
  6. You would get a lot of answers if you posted on a forum that deals with Wii backup
  7. Keep it to your previous thread, please.
  8. Please read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  9. You can attach those IBG files in your post By the way, Burnplot can show them to you too
  10. Have you not noticed the link in my post above?
  11. Yes, it is a disc problem. Here's what you can do to make those blanks work: try a lens cleaning disc on your drive try burning at 6x or 8x buying a new burner
  12. You should've pressed F8 before clicking the Write button. Also you've used MCC 03RG20 (16x rated and 18x supported by your burner) media, while the problem you were having was with MCC 02RG20 (8x rated and 12x supported by your burner). In case you haven't noticed it... By the way, this line shown at the end of the burn tells you where the IBG file is:
  13. Your drive doesn't like those blanks. From what we've heard LG and TDK are also junk. Try with Verbatim BD-R blanks and it should work
  14. The RiData blanks are DVD+R and they need to be booktyped to DVD-ROM in order to work, but none of your burners can do this. DVD-Rs don't need booktyping and, thus, should work fine.
  15. That image is supposed to be written to a floppy disk. You can burn it to a bootable CD/DVD: in ImgBurn's Build mode, go to the Advanced tab then Bootable Disc tab; enable Make Image Bootable; in Emulation Type choose Floppy Disk (1.44 MB); click the folder icon in the Boot Image field and select your .img file; click the Write button to burn your bootable disc (use a rewritable disc if you have one).
  16. Does it say "Invalid or unsupported image file format" when you load it in Write mode? How big is it?
  17. The Wii was designed for reading pressed discs, so, no matter which format you choose the console will be somewhat "overworking" to read it anyway. What you can do to minimize this is to use high quality media, which is what Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks are. By the way, the disc diameter and thickness are standardized so that all DVD capable devices know what to expect (e.g. how to "grab" the disc on slot loading devices/etc).
  18. I said to use that media because it's DVD-R and, from what I've heard, they work OK on Wii consoles.
  19. Burn the Wii games on these blanks (provided that they're genuine Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim) and it should work And yes, your LG drive doesn't support booktyping
  20. Because with DVD+RW, DVD-RAM and BD-RE you can simply overwrite the old data
  21. I recall seeing on this forum Pioneer 216 burners having problems with AMD chipsets' SATA ports Make sure you're using the latest BIOS version for your motherboard. Change the SATA controller mode to AHCI in the BIOS and re-install the latest AMD driver from Gigabyte's site. Try a few burns on DVD-R media with Test Mode enabled before trying a proper burn.
  22. Your drive either didn't understand the MAX write speed command or it blocked/changed by the IDE controller driver. Have you looked for a new driver for that controller? There's also newer firmware for your DRU-830A burner.
  23. Try burning at 8x or 12x and if that doesn't work, then try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media.
  24. Try with any other drive that can read DVDs. If it errors out at the same spot then your disc is damaged or uses copy protection, and ImgBurn doesn't copy protected discs If you don't mind saying, what's on that disc?
