  1. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating). If this update doesn't solve your problem then it might be time for a new burner...
  2. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 - just in case you haven't read it
  3. If that happens with the new batch then try a lens cleaning disc on your drive.
  4. A Pioneer 116/117 (or 216/217) in an external enclosure of your choice would be the best option. As for Verbatims at $5 a pop have a look here (link from this thread)
  5. The directshow filter responsible for converting your WAV file to CD Audio is the one who gave that error, and that's why I said you could burn straight from the MP3s.
  6. Assuming those extra tracks are CD Audio, ImgBurn can itself convert them from MP3 to CD Audio, so burn it from the files extracted from the RAR arvchive and it should work
  7. Try burning at 8x, 12x or 16x with a brand new blank to see if it works. If it doesn't work try getting Taiyo Yuden CD-Rblanks. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on your drive.
  8. You need DVD+R DL media for x360 games. DVD-R DL is rubbish.
  9. Looking at Gigabyte's site there are four PCB revisions (1.0/1.1/2.0/2.1), do you know which one you have? Are you using the latest BIOS version? While using AHCI mode (native disabled), install this (reboot if asked) and install this (also reboot if asked). Now try burning again to see if it works. By the way, the latest driver for your "Gigabyte SATA2 controller" (the GSATA ports) can be found here: ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb36x/XP_Vista_Win7/
  10. Which port number is the burner connected to? What's the brand and model of your motherboard?
  11. It seems your drive doesn't like the 8x Verbatim blanks Try with the 2.4x Verbatim blanks and it should work
  12. Please start your own thread and also read the pink banner at the top of the forum
  13. Could you post the whole log from that burn attempt? There's important information missing
  14. Look for updated drivers for the SATA controller where the burner is connected.
  15. The incompatibility with Samsung SATA burners and VIA chipsets is known for quite some time now... You can use this patch utility to patch the SB03 firmware for your burner so that it always booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM. Then you can use the SATA-to-USB adapter to flash your drive with the up-to-date patched firmware
  16. Well, your card uses a bad chipset: I have one of those and it blocks the commands for booktyping +R media and also blocks updating firmware Do you have a SATA-to-USB adapter or you could plug your drive in a friend's computer? I'm asking because you can patch the firmware to always booktype +R media to DVD-ROM, but in order to do this we need to be able to flash the firmware on your burner
  17. The firmware update and the booktype setting both didn't work probably because the drive is connected to a SATA controller in RAID mode. Can you connect it to another SATA port? Preferably on a different controller.

  19. In Advanced -> OnBoard Devices Configuration, how's JMicron SATA Controller Mode configured as? AHCI or IDE should be OK According to the manual, the internal IDE and SATA_RAID (the one next to the WiFi module and PCIe x16_1 slot) ports and the external SATA port are all connected to the JMicron chipset.
  20. Then you updated the firmware, not patched. As you've said you had to try many times before burning I think your burner is defective. If you can return/exchange it get a Pioneer DVR-216 or 217
  21. First of all, please update ImgBurn Your burner thinks there's no disc inside. Did it work with exactly that same kind of disc before patching? Which firmware version did you patch and using which tool? Does it recognize other blank discs?
  22. If there is a .dvd file burn from it and the layerbreak will be set to 1913760
  23. With a lens cleaning disc kit, but since yours is a BluRay burner you should use a kit recommended for BluRay drives
