    I/O error

It would be better if you could get the 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) ones. The 8x Verbatims might not be well supported by your slim burner.
  2. Cancel and try again. Locking the volume shouldn't take more than a few seconds. Also make sure there are other program that cold be reading from the burner.
  3. Try with a real DVD player such as PowerDVD/WinDVD/MPC-HC/VLC Media Player/etc.
  4. First of all, please update ImgBurn. The discs burned and verified fine, which means they're good burns. The problem is that you're using a filesystem that only Windows Vista and newer OSs can read. Use UDF 1.02 and it should work fine
  5. It doesn't work like that. What's the content of the disc you want to split?
  6. Do you have a spare DVD lying around? Try burning that to a DVD and it might work. You can try with a rewritable one if you have it.
  7. I'm sorry but you've been scammed: ImgBurn is freeware. Try getting a refund with clickbank/your credit card/whoever you've paid.
  8. There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). Also I would burn at 8x or 16x
  9. 2.4x or 4x are likely to give the best burn quality. You can use DVDInfoPro/Ner0 DiscSpeed/etc to check the burn quality with your burner.
  10. Sounds like crappy discs. Can you post a log from one of those burns? Look in ImgBurn's Help menu.

Junk media. Please read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  12. The software has no control over the burn quality, and your burner is doing a bad job at writing the discs you're using. You could try a lens cleaning disc on your drive, another brand of discs or use another burner if you can.
  13. Try burning slower at 16x, 10x or even 4x to see if you then get a good burn.
  14. It's easier to use DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD to do what you want.
  15. No, but there will be a link for it on ImgBurn's Download page, just like there is for DVDInfoPro.
  16. It's easier to find Taiyo Yuden media in online stores (have a look on those listed here)
  17. ImgBurn only reads discs as a whole: it doesn't change/remove anything.
  18. Update to the latest ImgBurn version while you're at it
  19. By the way... There's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished).
  20. Yeah, well, that was posted more than 2 years ago, and now ImgBurn treats OS install discs differently. Anyway I've modified the post according to the current behaviour
  21. You really should leave Verify enabled, as that ensures the disc was properly burned. Do a manual verify to see if the disc is good. If it is then the problem might be your console, and we can't help you with that.
  22. It's not the software that works better or not with a particular brand of media: it's the burner and its firmware. The software just sends information in the correct order, nothing else: it has no control over burn quality. ImgBurn, by itself, can burn any type of disc supported by your drive From our tests (look in our Media section) the blanks made by Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden give the best overall results on most burners. Depending on the brand and model of your burner, you can also buy a few different discs from different brands and test their burn quality with your burner. It's also important that your burner has the latest firmware available for it.
