  1. Your burner's firmware (A104) is quite old, so download here the latest firmware for your burner (make sure you're clicking the A117 link of the GSA-4120B line) and run the A117RPC1.EXE executable from the ZIP file you've downloaded. Remove any disc from your burner and close the tray before updating the firmware. Also, you'll have to reboot after updating.
  2. ImgBurn automatically saves the log file, and you can get it by going to the Help menu then clicking ImgBurn logs.
  3. Could you post the full log of that burn, please? Sometimes the real error is something else than what you think
  4. You'll need Binflash everytime you want to flash your burner's firmware. May I ask why you're so reluctant about using Binflash?
  5. --> QUOTE(John B @ May 16 2007, 11:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To get the log I'll need to burn another disk. ImgBurn automatically saves the log, so you can get it by going to Help menu then ImgBurn logs.
  6. Binflash is the program you need to use to flash the 107bt_rpc1.bin file from Liggy's ND3550 Bitsetting Firmware 1.07 to your burner's firmware.
  7. I'd recommend getting the Liggy's ND3550 Bitsetting Firmware 1.07 (click the Download link under the RPC-1 column). You'll need Binflash to flash this firmware to your drive (guide for using Binflash).
  8. Please , particularly this post.
  9. Do you have PowerDVD, WinDVD, Media Player Classic or VLC Media Player? Any of these programs allow you to preview the DVD before burning, which is quite handy.
  10. With such a nice avatar it's a shame you took so long to start posting
  11. You'll need to use another program to do that, and you can find guides about it at VideoHelp.com.
  12. ImgBurn can only copy unprotected discs.
  13. Can you post the log of such burn (Help/ImgBurn logs)? For the slow burning problem, check this post of the FAQ and see if it helps.
  14. Install Daemon Tools and mount your ISO image to the virtual drive that it creates. You can also use IsoBuster, UltraISO/MagicISO/PowerISO, maybe even WinRAR, to list and extract files from your ISO image.
  15. VideoHelp.com has guides for various programs, so please take a look there
  16. ImgBurn doesn't support creating nor burning multi-track images, yet You can use your Alcohol 120% to make a backup of your VideoCD (the drive on the screenshot looks like an Alcohol 120% virtual drive so correct me if I'm wrong ).
  17. By "video file" you mean what? A different PGC? Also, how did you generate that content?

    ide help

You can use it as a paperweight or doorstop If it's clicking while formatting, definitely trash it.
  19. I'd use 1873796->1873808 or 2007541->2007552 (3rd and 4th green stars from your screenshot), since both of them have little padding and are the start of different PGCs (12 and 13 respectively). Remember that you can always use the Preview Selected Cell button to see where each option is in your DVD content, so now the choice is up to you
  20. According to the The Unofficial DVD-Audio Specification:
  21. The DTS layer is in the DVD-Video zone (i.e. the VIDEO_TS folder) of your DVD-Audio disc. You'll need a program that analyzes the DVD-Video data and allows you to extract the DTS stream.
  22. If you use ImgBurn in Read mode to make an ISO image of your DVD-Audio disc, then switch to Write mode to burn it to a disc, ImgBurn will preserve the same layer break position as the original disc. Notice, though, that if the DVD-Audio you've copied from has encryption/watermark, it won't play correctly.
  23. ImgBurn doesn't read protected DVDs. You can use ImgBurn to burn from ISO images or from files on your system. Please look in the Guides section on how to use ImgBurn.
  24. The only good DVD+R DL media is Verbatim, so please try and get it. As you can see here, other users also had unsucessful burns with this media on NEC burners.
  25. It's the Shrek.The.Third.NTSC.XBOX360-APATHY release, which is a working X360 game. Besides, it doesn't matter if it was torrented or not: the burner doesn't analyze the data to be burnt. Since he said this error happens "everytime I try to burn a dl medium", I'd say your drive is faulty.
