  1. You'll need to extract the disc image from those ZIP/RAR files before you can mount it or burn to disc. Open the *.rar file with WinRAR and it'll merge all available volumes (r00, r01, etc.).
  2. If those videos weren't in DVD-Video format (VIDEO_TS folder with VOBs/IFOs/BUPs inside), then the burnt disc won't play on standard DVD players. If you want to convert those videos to DVD-Video format, please have a look at VideoHelp.com, as there are plenty of guides for doing that.
  3. Well, we can't help you with ripping the DVD to your HD... As for media, you really should use Verbatim DVD+R DL media, as it's the only one that works as it should.
  4. Did you disable AnyDVD? Are you adding files directly from the DVD DL in your combo drive or are they on the HD? If they're on the HD, how did you copy them from the DVD DL to the HD? By the way, if you really have to use DVD-R DL, the layer break won't matter, as DVD-R DL has fixed layer break position (only DVD+R DL allows to change where the layer break is). About your players not working with +R media, do you know if the ones you've tried were booktype/bitset to DVD-ROM? Some standalone DVD players require this in order to play +R media.
  5. Could you post the log from that burn? You can find it at Help/ImgBurn logs. Also, you should use only Verbatim DVD+R DL media, as it's the only one that works. By the way, there's newer firmware available for your burner (JL12).
  6. The solution to this problem is in the FAQ thread By the way, in ImgBurn's Settings, you should leave the layer break option in 'Calculate Optimal', as the *.dvd file already tells ImgBurn which layer break to use.
  7. Can you post a link to the guide you followed?
  8. This made me remember a scene from Fight Club: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3_kCm5FZio
  9. Does this DVD play OK in the computer? Try playing it on other DVD players as well. Also, please post the log of that burn (Help/ImgBurn logs).
  10. You should leave I/O Interface as SPTI (default setting), as ASPI is only useful for people who can't use SPTI. Also, this problem is completely unrelated to the use of another burner before, as ImgBurn always gets the current configuration. ImgBurn can't force any burner to write at a specific speed: it'll send the command for the speed you've selected but it's up to the burner to obey or not. Most buners will use the closest available speed to what you've selected, and, in your case, it's 4x. I 15:08:45 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: TYG03) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x) Has your burner seen a lot of use? Maybe you could try some cleaning kit on it.
  11. Nope, it always displayed the full list About your problem, could you describe it? Also, please post the log from those bad burns (they're automatically saved and acessible in Help/ImgBurn logs).
  12. If you're talking about the Write Speed selector, it always shows the full list, regardless of the media inserted.
  13. Please read the ImgBurn Build Mode thread of the Guides forum.
  14. Try burning at a slower speed, and maybe try other media (Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are good ones).
  15. By default, when you add a folder, ImgBurn will add that folder and all sub-folders and files contained in it. If you want to have only your backup folder on the DVD, add it to ImgBurn and, when it asks if it's the root folder, answer no.
  16. Both should have at least one option in common, or else the original image wasn't properly made. Example: Properly built ISO image Layer break options of the Build mode method: as you can see there's a matching option to the ISO image If you're worried that your ISO image wasn't properly made, use the Build mode method, as this allows you to select the right layer break.
  17. For burning data to a CD/DVD you should use the Build mode. The Write mode is only for burning disc images.
  18. Please have a look at the Guides section of this forum
  19. I 22:45:19 Average Write Rate: 138 KB/s (0.1x) - Maximum Write Rate: 1,479 KB/s (1.1x) Please have a look at this post from the FAQ thread.
  20. The easiest, least painful way depends on the content of the DVD image. What is it?
  21. As it was said above, put the disc in and read the information shown on the right side of ImgBurn's window. Paste that information here if you still have doubts.
  22. ImgBurn doesn't support burning Audio CDs. As I said above, for making an Audio CD use Burrrn
  23. Pioneer and NEC are good burners. LGs are also good.
