A_T Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 (edited) it would be good to have some more options when right-clicking the icon. Especially open/close tray and erase disc. Looking forward to version 2. Edited July 18, 2006 by A_T
polopony Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 the open/close tray is included in Ver.2 and so many new things you'll be amazed
LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 lol not on the system tray icon it's not! I doubt that would happen because it's too much of a pain in the arse keeping track of when it should / shouldn't be allowed.
Wheelie4 Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 A_T, I've been using a little app called CDTray for a couple years. Sits in the tray allowing open/close ability for all cd/dvd drives. Works flawlessly for me on XP.
lmao2k Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Are you like 10m away from your pc?? Use the open/close button on the drive ya lazy sod!! I'm not even that lazy
polopony Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 I guess I should catch hell considering my Audigy sound card has a remote for it
A_T Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 A_T, I've been using a little app called CDTray for a couple years. Sits in the tray allowing open/close ability for all cd/dvd drives. Works flawlessly for me on XP. Thanks that's good. Been looking for something like that - the similar app I'm using only works with one drive. Are you like 10m away from your pc?? Use the open/close button on the drive ya lazy sod!! I'm not even that lazy Yes. Actually I'm in 2 minds whether to use Wheelie4's suggestion. His programme needs 2 clicks whereas the one I'm used to only needs one so some major adjustments are required.
Wheelie4 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 (edited) LOL, I use CDtray because I'm paralyzed from the neck down and type with a mouth stick. Can't move my arms to push a button. Only one of my drives (external Plextor PX-716UF) on my laptop has mechanical drive, the other internal one I can on pop open and have to get my nurse to close it. #39;( But if I wasn't I'd still be too lazy to reach down and push a button.
