  1. this page loading for anyone, my internet is shite at the minute though.
  2. Have you tried re creating the page file incase it has become corrupt ? And certainly error check your hard drives with the box automatically fix file system errors ticked. I would be scanning for viruses and spyware as well. Then change memory/ reseat memory, or change your PSU.
  3. Does not take much time to choose advanced settings before burn.
  4. If you have packet writing or windows cd burning / drag and drop cd burning on turn it off. Do a virus scan as well with up2 date virus def/patterns etc. Get spybot search and destroy update it and scan for crap.
  5. Bought it brand new for ?6.99 at ukdvdr. Had a feeling finding that size floppy would be a pain in the rrrr's, but recently had a program creating boot up disc's on 2 floppies and would have gotten away with it on one of these disc's if i had floppy capable of storing to 2.88 and a disc. I normally pay ?3.08 for a standard 1.44 floppy drive and in past i have paid more than 6.99 for 1.44 floppy drive and i needed a new one anyways as the one in this comp is broken, sometimes it insists the floppy i have in is unformatted when i know for a fact its got files on it. Well now i do as the first couple of times it did that i thought umm must have wrong disc in and formatted it and lost stuff. Will keep on looking ebay will turn up some eventually. Thanks
  6. Anyone know where in UK i can buy these ? Thanks Have tried a few online retailers and ebay but no luck.
  7. Anyone on here got one of these Samsung SH-S182 (18x) DVD ?25.00 retail boxed at Svp. Is it based on the plextor/teac/panasonic drive ? (edit it appears to be not) and is rather good from scans at cdfreaks Thanks
  8. Agreed i would rather do business with SVP, they were my first choice, however a mixture of them being out of stock of the 16x panasonics and ukdvd selling 500 dvd case for 13.99 swayed the deal in favour of ukdvdr this time. Ink was cheap as well, 2 sets of r300 for 8 pound. Suprised i did not buy the liteon burner they had on offer for 19.99, wish i had of now, saying as if i want it now with delivery will be ?25+ SVP are a better choice though.
  9. Just for comparison cheap Datawrite using INFODISC-R20 Same liteon drive no jitter etc.
  10. change usb cable and plug it into a different usb if possible. Try some other usb devices to see if you get same device does not exist etc. maybe think about unplugging other usb devices incase there is some kind of short in your usb, maybe uninstall the usb driver from device manager and reinstall it or if you can reinstall system to rule out corrupt driver. Edit... The enclosures power lead if like mine and is same as computer power lead make sure it is in all the way as one of my enclosure psu does not fit quite as good as it should and mini shorts... I thought it was fully in but it needed to be pushed in a few more millimeters. I am on about the psu power lead not at the back of enclosure, but maybe check that one as well.

How many post to use a custom title under avatar, thanks
  12. you would be better off looking at digital digest
  13. mine kinda stutters to 38 21 19 then right back up to top 92 89 93 etc when you got debug mode enabled how much buffer is available on ya 1655 and what is link size
  14. well my parcel turn up today at 9.20 am as usual next day delivery using intial shitty link. I cannot see any company willing to post out stuff like this without a signature. However the parcel farce depot being 1 mile away for you to pick up your goods with you being out during day, you woudl think ukdvdr would realise youhave a point. I would have bought them from SVP but they are always out of stock when i want to try them. Other than that ukdvdr have always delivered when they said Next day. If your order is late they refund you delivery charge. They do not seem the brightest bunch though.
  15. Maybe its down to WOPC and the disc, next write i will disable wopc, i also thought this benq was udma 4, i was wrong its 2, still should make no diff as throughput on udma 2 is more than enough. Does imgburn not display buffer available if WOPC is ON as it seems to be missing from my previous log (EDIT i bet its cos i had debug mode enabled this time)
  16. Not liking how my benq is burning look at buffer. compared to liteon at his post Maybe its an issue with the ide channel on new comp i built asus m2n32 sli del as not burnt anything using this combo yet.(only has 1 IDE) bq is master and liteon reader slave, and iso was on 1 of the 2 sata drives. Maybe someone with benq 1650 can tell me if there device buffer fluctuates this much. And the scan piccy part of log , umm write speeds available somewhat diff to my liteon, eg liteon 6,8,12,16 bq 4,8,12,16
  17. benq scan of the first disc i posted pic of thing is though have heard of poor scans using benq when the disc your scanning was not actually burnt with benq. Yeah and i know my firmware is ol, just about to update it, have not actually ever burnt a disc using benq yet, so will have to try with panasonic to make sure it works
  18. Another burn this time with 4.35 gig of data Log changed one to blocks after seeing what you typed
  19. did not have info pro in at that time well not a version that was compat. However i was expecting the taiyo to be a bit higher in scan qual. Seems my new liteon writer cannot scan them as good as it should see below. these were scanned in with liteon dvd rom on same computer they stayed at 99.20% most of the way thru scanne at 8x the first scan i p[osted was scanned at MAX setting, till, i saw cornys guide an dropped it to 8 though tbh from the drop down box i thought 8X was the MAX setting.
  20. Just incase ya intersted lfc log file and piccies from dvdinfo.
  21. Was the answer not cos there are no chairs ?
