    Fall back?

I just throw my clocks away and get new ones.
  8. 6X is achievable all the time on 10/100, well it used to be on my 10/100 network I have burned at 12x over a 10/100 as well, though buffer was getting hammered and tbh it never got to 12X. (The disc was fine aftwards though) Now all my machines are 10/100/1000 can burn at any speed i choose. Should be no problem at 4X
  9. what speed is your network ?
  10. Happy Birthday. Enjoy your youth.
  11. Very good, like that a lot thanks
  12. It randomly used to do that on a clean install using ie6 for me. I got to the bottom of it and then subsequently forgot how i rectified it. You could try this program though it says it has not been tested on ie7 i know it works for 6. Fix IE You need xp with integrated sp2 cd though.
  13. IC so it's like a guide to a guide
  14. Did not have to go that far, there is one here, in fact there are plenty of guides in that section. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1778
  15. you checked for virus or spyware. I would either change drive to test or reinstall your operating system.
  16. just checking, never use that mode, rules that out then Is it just with RW discs or maybe just the one you have tried, as I have had a few RW that do not behave and tell me that i need to format / erase, when i know fine well it had been prepared etc, I had to bin them and use another one.
  17. Is test mode enabled ticked ?
  18. What is the error ? Maybe think about unticking delete image for the time being. Also think about checking power options in control panel and also looking at the bios in case you altered something in there. Look to see if you ticked hibernation in power management or changed how it shuts down when power button is pressed etc and if you have got it set up to ask for pass on resume. Have you changed from a PS2 keybd/mouse to Usb keybd/mouse recently ?
  19. Have you also ran scandisk on the drive your storing the iso your trying to burn. Tick the box automatically fix file system errors only. Sounds more like what has already been pointed out though, bad combination.
  20. maybe take off any rip locks on the writer and use it as a reader from now on to get last bit of use from it.
  21. Must think they are mites that devour vegetables.
  22. As long as the disc plays after burn then i am pleased with all my writers. Not really got a fave, loved plextor cdrw years ago. Only ever owned one plextor dvd writer though a sata one, had to return it under 4 days though as was trying to booktype dvd-r.

    New Psu

SO enermax is still under warranty, That may be good news for him then. Get a psu with high amps on the 12v rail minimum 20 though i would say go for a minimum of 26 amps. Some say go for a dual rail 12v or even a triple rail. My dual rail blew under 4 months and it's replacement lasted about 9 months. Have seen some psu for 189 GBP no way I'm gonna pay that, never had an email response back from any psu manufacturer when things went bad regardless of warranty. Never owned and enermax though.
