  1. They just look like small CDs... not DVDs at all.
  2. If you're going to drop the speed down to anything, use 8x. As the drive appears to be having problems with the 'SONY-D21-00' discs you're using, try some other ones - Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Your drive may also benefit from being cleaned with a cleaning disc as it's no doubt 5+ years old now.
  3. If you want to have the GUI in Spanish, you'll need to download the appropriate language file from the website and install it as per the instructions found there. http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download#translations As for the disc that aren't imaging correctly, please post the logs so I can see what's going on. Please also copy + paste all of the disc info from the box on the right when you're in Read mode with a problem disc in the drive (do that with each of the non-working discs please).
  4. Have the yellow exclamation marks now gone from Device Manager? When they have, ImgBurn will work fine too. I don't recommend using Patin-Couffin... not even the people that made it recommend using it on anything past Windows XP.
  5. You're probably better off researching that question by looking at the threads over at the MyCE forums.
  6. Where add-on cards are concerned, I seem to recall the Silicon Image 680 (Sil680) chipset ones being good for IDE drives. That's a PCI card though, so I'm not sure if your machine will have a slot for one.
  7. Is that disc dirty/scratched? Try cleaning it. Failing that, get another one... yours is faulty and unreadable.
  8. Boot into safe mode and see if you still have the same problems. They're probably caused by something else on your machine. Did you change any hardware or was this just an OS reinstall? Were you already running 8 or is that new?
  9. How is that drive connected? Is it internal or external? I'm not saying it's failing, it's just slow for some reason. You can always increase the buffer in the Settings (on the I/O tab, Page 2). Try 256 MiB or something.
  10. That buffer warning is because your machine (mainly the hdd) was too busy with other stuff to provide ImgBurn with a steady stream of data. It's taking 7 - 8 seconds to refill the 80MiB buffer... that isn't great performance for a hdd (it's awful).
  11. This is a hardware issue, it must have a problem with those discs. MKM-001 and MKM-003 are both listed in the firmware, so it shouldn't really have an issue with either of those MIDs. Cleaning it may or may not help... it's really just up to you if you want to try that first before buying a new drive.
  12. The adapter must not support the command used for the advanced settings. They don't all work properly with optical drives. What's the chipset used on it? (the main controller chip)
  13. Your drive appears unable to re-initialise the disc it just burnt... so either it's just really bad at reading (where you then get this issue with almost all discs) or it did a really bad job of burning the 'VERBAT-IMd-000' disc you used. If it's been ok with them in the past, trying discs from another spindle or cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc may help. You may still end up buying a new drive though.
  14. If you get a card that supports optical drives nicely, sure.
  15. You could mount the ISO in a virtual drive program and then build a new one from the virtual drive with ImgBurn. You could even extract it using something like winrar or 7zip and do the same. I don't know why the sony would block playing it as a disc.... Maybe a region / tv system restriction? Is the firmware on your player up to date?
  16. Convert them into DVD video format using something like dvdflick or convertxtodvd and then but the output with ImgBurn.
  17. CDA files don't really exist. Just try and play the disc in media player.
  18. I can't see a problem with that. Is there nothing on the disc if you play it in your PC or have you only tried it on a standalone player? The program detects when filters have decoded to digital silence, so that shouldn't be what's happening here.
  19. Put a new blank disc in the drive, it looks like that one has already been written to.
  20. It isn't a project and I've no idea where you got the idea from that it was. It's this... http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/Libraries/XE3/en/Vcl.Forms.TApplication.BiDiMode
  21. No
  22. Post the log please - as per the pink box up the top.
  23. Once you've added one of your flac files to the cue window, right click it and display the directshow filter list. Let us know what it says please.
  24. That probably doesn't use directshow for the conversion to cdda format. There's something wrong with the directshow graph / filters your machine is using to decode mp3.
  25. That doesn't solve the actual problem.
