Imgburn and spyware reports by Anti-virus scanner
LIGHTNING UK! replied to OldAmsXXXdam's topic in ImgBurn General
The 'false positive' statement depends on what the AV scanner is actually finding. Some may prevent you downloading / running unsigned exe files. Some may pick up on the setup as being powered by OpenCandy and classing it an optional but 'potentially unwanted program' (PUP). ImgBurn.exe is perfectly clean but sometimes they don't like the UPX compression used on it to make it smaller. And just like the setup exe, that isn't signed either. -
Did you verify the disc when you burnt it? Post the log please.
-
Just detection? Just say it does if it supports that mode page.

I've no idea, sorry.

ImgBurn BD-R writes perfectly, but max write speed is only .6x?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to ChuckT's topic in ImgBurn Support
I don't know the ins and outs of what the firmware updates do, but at the very least they'll add support for newer MIDs. I'd hope for strategy tweaks (better quality burns) and general bug fixes too. -
ImgBurn BD-R writes perfectly, but max write speed is only .6x?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to ChuckT's topic in ImgBurn Support
Yeah, I'd go for 'Tools' -> 'Reset DMA' and then reboot. I'd probably also crossflash to a GGW-H20L and then install the newer HL07 firmware. http://club.myce.com/f61/lg-blu-ray-crossflash-ggw-h20l-gbw-h20l-be06lu10-be06lu11-260811/ -
No, programs don't care about the firmware on a drive.
-
Does the disc actually play? Is that the first one you've had a problem with? If so, just try another one. After that you could try adjusting the write speed to one of the other 'supported' write speeds and/or enabling the 'Perform OPC Before Write' option in the Settings.
-
On such drives, you can either turn off the tray cycling bit in the settings or just push it back in manually when the program prompts you.
-
Look at the disc using something like IsoBuster. It'll show you the start LBA of each file.

burn win7 iso, write at 4x, and can i burn to a usb drive ?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to lightfoot's topic in ImgBurn Support
Yes, that's all you do. When you're in 'Write' mode, the 'Write Speed' drop down box is (or at least should be) pretty obvious (bottom right of the main window). Microsoft have a tool for making a bootable USB stick from a Windows installation ISO, use that. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool -
I/O Error! Can't burn RICOHJPN-D01-67
LIGHTNING UK! replied to aguilacuervo's topic in ImgBurn Support
"RICOHJPN-D01-67" is the wrong MID for proper Verbatim discs. You must have got some 'value' ones or something. -
There shouldn't be if the player can read the disc ok and performs enough 'read ahead'.

You can't do anything with the physical layer break position on BD discs, they're just treated like larger single layer ones.

Multitrack CDs - Stuck at 0% while trying to create Image

What's written in the status bar? -
That's correct. It only includes what's in the backup list. You can manually edit the IBB and use a wildcard (*) if you want to add a folder and all of its contents when a project is loaded and advanced input mode is being used. This is mentioned in the 2.5.8.0 change log. It means you can still make use of Advanced input mode's ability to rename / redirect folders elsewhere. If you aren't worried about redirecting/renaming stuff, just use standard input mode. That will always search the listed 'Source' folders for files / subfolders once you've set it building.

Loading a saved project in Disk Layout Editor
LIGHTNING UK! replied to tindolph's topic in ImgBurn Support
Projects built in one input mode can't be used in the other... the input mode selected at the time of saving it will be restored when you load it again. The two modes are totally different and you can't switch between them like that - because the 'Source' info can't be represented in the same way in the different modes. -
burning to a blu-ray from multiple ISOs
LIGHTNING UK! replied to DocRock54's topic in ImgBurn Support
An ISO is a complete disc image, you can't burn several of them to a larger disc and expect it to work (play, in the case of DVD Video ISOs)... it won't. If all you're trying to do is backup the ISOs on a BD (so they stay as ISOs), just use Build mode. You won't be able to play them in a standalone player or anything, but you'll be able to burn additional DVDs from them at a later date. -
Try and stop ffdshow from decoding that kind of audio data. You can probably stop AC3Filter from processing it too.

using .IBB files command line image build
LIGHTNING UK! replied to ms-dvdburn's topic in ImgBurn Support
If loading the IBB manually fills out the 'Source' box ok, I can only assume there's some issue with loading it via CLI. There's no reason for it to say 'Nothing to build' if there's stuff in the 'Source' box. Do remember that Standard/Advanced input modes are two different things. If you add stuff to one, it isn't added to the other one. So if you switch between them, it won't work. Once a project has been loaded, you should see a couple of lines in the Log window to that affect. -
using .IBB files command line image build
LIGHTNING UK! replied to ms-dvdburn's topic in ImgBurn Support
If you load the modified / template IBB manually, does it fill out the 'Source' box? Would it be possible for you to upload the IBB? -
Does it work ok if you disable AVG for a minute or add an exception? You aren't running ImgBurn via anything other than a normal double click etc yeah? Don't force it to run as Admin or anything, that shouldn't be required. It should only be writing to HKCU\Software\ImgBurn so the normal logged on user should be able to do that. p.s. there have been a few updates since 2.5.5.0.

12 min into burn process, and no progress: HELP!
LIGHTNING UK! replied to rlsaxe's topic in ImgBurn Support
When you're in write mode, right click the drive selection drop down box and hit 'family tree' for me please. Close the prompt and then copy + paste everything from the log window.
