  1. If it verifies ok, it means THAT computer can read it. Your other computer may have drive that isn't as good at reading. Invest in some Taiyo Yuden CDs, you may have more luck.

  4. I have no idea why nvidia's driver crashes when ImgBurn gets closed (I don't have that problem here), you'd be better off taking it up with them.
  5. I've never seen it do that. You're going to have to keep an eye on the Write Queue and see what's actually going on. There must be some reason behind it if that's really what's happening. Screenshots of the main window before you click the 'Write' (start) button and logs from those burns may help.
  6. Yes, that's how you'd burn an ISO made from Build mode. If it's asking you to overburn/truncate, either the drive isn't reporting the full capacity of the disc or you just made the image too large in the first place.
  7. If they burn and verify ok in imgburn, the disc itself is ok (at least in that drive) and should be playable. If it isn't, it's probably an issue with the files you burnt onto the disc.
  8. The drive reported a 'Write Error' that time. Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc and/or buying some 8x Verbatims instead of the 2.4x ones.
  9. The 4x speed is all the drive is reporting. If the reported speeds vary if you eject + reinsert the disc, it must be having some sort of trouble reading them. So yeah, cleaning the drive may help. It could also be a sign of the drive dying. avi and mp4 aren't disc image files, that's why they aren't on the 'supported' files list.
  10. Only being offered 4x on 16x discs isn't great. If that's all it's ever done, you should probably think about investing in a new drive. Have you tried cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc?
  11. The buffer size and priority have nothing to do with anything. The 'write error' shows your drive has (had) and issue writing to the media you're using. Once the data is in drive's cache (buffer), it's purely down to the drive/firmware/media combo you're using. Get yourself some decent Taiyo Yuden CDs.
  12. Your drive can't burn BD discs, it can only read them.
  13. Do you have 'MediaInfo' installed at all? It would help to see the properties of the file you're trying to load. The filters don't work with 24bit flac files etc. Other than that, I can only assume you still have a filters issue. Did you install madFlac as per the Audio CD guide in the Guides forum?

  16. Thumbs.db are normally just cache type files put there by Windows - that's why the program defaults to filtering them out of what gets burnt to the disc.

  19. Does the disc info look different yet? It probably won't work properly until it at least also displays the drive model and firmware version. Maybe try an older driver? If 10.8 works with your chipset, give that a shot.

  23. "in the Log window" If you've closed it (shame on you!), open it again via the 'View' menu.
  24. Load the program, switch to Write mode and then press the F8 key to enable I/O debug mode. Now click Tools -> Search for SCSI/ATAPI devices Once it's finished and that disc info box is filled out, press F8 again. Then click File -> Save As in the Log window and save it to a file. Upload the file here on the forum for me to look at please.
  25. Is that a straight copy + paste of the disc info text? It's missing the drive model and firmware version You probably have a deeper system issue (controller / drivers / cable etc).
