  1. Go and read www.t10.org
  2. Because I have no interest in adding such a feature.
  3. I don't make up the error messages, they're defined in the MMC specs.
  4. Sorry, no.
  5. That drive seems to have a problem with reading the disc. Does the other machine/drive that works ok show the disc as that same size? i.e. 1080 sectors
  6. Try the other supported write speeds. If they don't work, buy better discs. Your drive must have a problem with those.
  7. So you go to the trouble of verifying the image is ok and then you want to modify it so it's not? In short, No.
  8. You ask a lot of strange questions for someone that says they know about the stuff already.
  9. Be more generic. Google "how are dvds made".
  10. No idea but it wasn't because of incorrect data in your image.
  11. Maybe it was just a fluke bad burn then. All I can tell you is that the drive thought it had burnt the disc ok but then wasn't able to read back what it just wrote. That's never a good sign and it's as simple as that.
  12. Press 'F Lock' ?
  13. Try the other supported speeds Try again after doing a full erase Make sure the disc is clean - so no dust, finger prints, scratches etc. If all else fails, buy different discs. Your drive must have an issue with burning those.
  14. The Imp ID just shows they used Sonic Scenarist to create the master image (or at least the part of it that's visible in a PC). As for the 'burning' of commercial discs, Google it.
  15. It's a sub-domain... but I don't see what that's got to do with anything. You're moaning about the IP. Board software. If you have issues with it, seek help on their forum.
  16. What the abgx360 guys say has nothing to do with burning. You can burn complete and utter rubbish to a disc - how on earth do you expect the drive to know what's valid data and what isn't?! It's the playback device that cares if it's valid or not.
  17. Of course it would
  18. No. and it works fine here... but then I use the links and not the back button.
  19. There's no such thing. It's just what people who don't know anything tell other people that know even less.
  20. Some people just do.
  21. No, never. It doesn't know, care or understand what it's being told to burn, it's just a bunch of data.
  22. It's impossible for me to say. Try another one (made in Singapore) and see if it's any different. If it isn't, try another drive.
  23. Well, you don't, so it's a moot point. I can't override something the OS blocks. If you want D+D in Build mode, use Advanced input mode and use the built in Explorer type pane.
  24. No - unless you click the right things and press the right keys manually.
