  1. Load the program, switch to Write mode and then press the F8 key to enable I/O debug mode. Now click Tools -> Search for SCSI/ATAPI devices Once it's finished and that disc info box is filled out, press F8 again. Then click File -> Save As in the Log window and save it to a file. Upload the file here on the forum for me to look at please.
  2. Is that a straight copy + paste of the disc info text? It's missing the drive model and firmware version You probably have a deeper system issue (controller / drivers / cable etc).
  3. Tell us more about the source disc. What files are on it? Where's the log of the burn?
  4. Yes, it'll include the boot sector. It reads every sector of the disc from start to finish.
  5. I've no idea on the format it records in, but if it's not DVD Video compliant (a video_ts folder containing *.ifo/bup/vob files), your disc won't play in a standard DVD player. You might be able to convert it to the correct format using something like DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD.
  6. You don't have a drive that can burn DVDs.
  7. You should only need v2.50 If the disc doesn't work, it's usually because the player doesn't like the folder structure / files on the disc - and nothing to do with the burn itself. Post the log please so we can at least see if it burnt and verified correctly. If you're having problems getting a working disc, just use a BD-RE until the issue is resolved.
  8. It doesn't happy to every nvidia user... I'm one and it's fine for me. There are a couple of threads in the 'Bugs' forum that provide a workaround.
  9. When a drive returns an error, it usually also provides you with 2 numbers. Those 2 numbers are known as ASC and ASCQ. What I then do is look up what they mean in a (build in) table and display that text to the user. http://t10.org/lists/asc-num.txt
  10. Go and read www.t10.org
  11. Because I have no interest in adding such a feature.
  12. I don't make up the error messages, they're defined in the MMC specs.
  13. Sorry, no.
  14. That drive seems to have a problem with reading the disc. Does the other machine/drive that works ok show the disc as that same size? i.e. 1080 sectors
  15. Try the other supported write speeds. If they don't work, buy better discs. Your drive must have a problem with those.
  16. So you go to the trouble of verifying the image is ok and then you want to modify it so it's not? In short, No.
  17. You ask a lot of strange questions for someone that says they know about the stuff already.
  18. Be more generic. Google "how are dvds made".
  19. No idea but it wasn't because of incorrect data in your image.
  20. Maybe it was just a fluke bad burn then. All I can tell you is that the drive thought it had burnt the disc ok but then wasn't able to read back what it just wrote. That's never a good sign and it's as simple as that.
  21. Press 'F Lock' ?
  22. Try the other supported speeds Try again after doing a full erase Make sure the disc is clean - so no dust, finger prints, scratches etc. If all else fails, buy different discs. Your drive must have an issue with burning those.
  23. The Imp ID just shows they used Sonic Scenarist to create the master image (or at least the part of it that's visible in a PC). As for the 'burning' of commercial discs, Google it.
  24. It's a sub-domain... but I don't see what that's got to do with anything. You're moaning about the IP. Board software. If you have issues with it, seek help on their forum.
  25. What the abgx360 guys say has nothing to do with burning. You can burn complete and utter rubbish to a disc - how on earth do you expect the drive to know what's valid data and what isn't?! It's the playback device that cares if it's valid or not.
