Upload the CUE file so I can take a look please. It's CD format. Audio (CDDA) discs always are.

It's not freezing, it's waiting for your system to actually process the I/O. ImgBurn is not in control at this point and it's why you can't stop it or kill the task. As such, you should be looking at the controller drivers etc for the actual cause of the problem.

It's funny you think the buffer size in ImgBurn is the problem here when it's taking 4.5 minutes to read 512 MB of data from your system and an additional 5.5 minutes for drive activity on the system to quieten down.

It's probably driver related. Look for a newer one from AMD.

With that disc in the drive, switch to Read mode in ImgBurn and copy + paste all of the disc info text from the box on the right please. Please also right click the drive selection box and click 'Family Tree'. Then close the prompt that pops up and copy + paste everything from the Log window.

That looks like an EEPROM dump, not the firmware dump It should be about 2MB in size I think.

Sorry, there are no plans for supporting any other OS. People just have to rely on things like 'Wine' and virtual machine software that lets them run Windows.

Based on what I've seen, it makes no sense, no. There is of course a lot going on in the background that a 'user' never gets to see. Having proper access to the machine (for capturing I/O data etc) may have revealed important info as to why things weren't working properly. Anyway, if it's sorted now, that's good news

It looks like your drive has lost the ability to burn / read. If you switch to Read mode and insert those burnt CD/DVDs, what does the disc info on the right say? (Copy + paste it all please)

In what way is it corrupt? What's the exact error you're getting from ImgBurn? You're sure it actually has an embedded CUE in the first place yeah? You'd only get that if the WV is large and contains all of the audio data for several tracks (i.e. it represents an entire album or something, not just 1 song).

I guess the problem here is that you can't get into the 'split' screen and are using something in a 'cut' screen instead - which obviously doesn't work. btw, please don't hijack other people's threads, even if you think you have the same problem. Make a new one instead. I've split your post and my reply from the topic you posted in and created this thread for you.

Try burning at 16 or 24x instead of 'max'. Your discs appear to be coming out 'empty' after the burn so something isn't quite right. How about burning to a DVD instead of a CD? You can use rewritables too.
