  1. Thanks, I was aware they are/were working on a 64 bit compiler for C++ Builder, it just isn't available yet. There won't be any benefit in having a 64 bit version so although it might be 'nice', it doesn't bother me too much.
  2. ImgBurn just burns what you give it. It doesn't / can't perform any sort of conversion on your video files.
  3. Where's the log from that burn? If the drive doesn't error out, ImgBurn has nothing to report. Didn't you verify the disc as part of the burn? That would have picked up errors - assuming the drive had a problem with reading the disc.
  4. I'm not so sure we do a whole lot of BD burning here.... you'd be better off asking that same question over in the Blu-ray section at the MyCE (CD Freaks) forums.
  5. ok well you can bet it's the Viscomsoft mpeg2 decoder that's causing the problem.
  6. ImgBurn is a burning tool, it burns what you give it. If you want a tool that'll reauthor / compress what you provide so it fits on the discs you're using, you'll need something else. e.g. DVD Shrink, CloneDVD, Nero Recode
  7. That'll give it more room to move things around, I can't say for sure it'll always work around the problem though. Try it and see!
  8. You are just trying to burn a VIDEO_TS folder yeah and not an ISO? If your folders/projects don't totally fill up the disc, it'll be a lot easier to move stuff around and then you won't see the 'end of the world' message. The message comes from there not being enough decent places to split the data (whilst keeping to the DVD Video specs). If there were more cells or chapter points in the video, it wouldn't be a problem... so really it comes down to the programs creating the IFO/VOB/BUP files. If you don't cut or copy anything else having done 'Cut' in the log window, the info will still be in the clipboard, just paste it.
  9. Post a log please - as per the pink box up the top
  10. Because you clicked 'Create image file from files/folders'. The clue is in the name (and the image shown for that button). If you want to write to a disc (on the fly), use the 'Write files/folders to disc' option instead - or just change the 'Output' (menu at the top) to 'Device' rather than 'Image File'.
  11. Sorry, I've no idea what that could be.
  12. If your drive won't burn 'VERBAT-IMd-000' at any of the speeds it claims to support, try some different discs. As the 'Perform OPC Before Write' option being enabled clearly isn't doing anything to help, turn it off again (the default setting).
  13. Turn off the 'Prefer Accurate Track Duration' option for a second (turn it back on later), then add the file, then check the filter list again.
  14. Erm maybe... what motherboard do you have? Are you able to try the drive in another port? Have you tried a new cable?
  15. Turn off 'Perform OPC Before Write' and clear opc history in the advanced settings feature/eeprom tool. Look on the packaging your discs came in and see what it says for where they were made. Ones from Singapore seem to be the best. It probably wouldn't hurt to buy another spindle from a different supplier and try one from that. btw, service pack 1 is out for windows 7 - and has been for ages now.
  16. Can you run something like HD Tune on your F:\ drive and see what speeds you get? 8x isn't exactly fast and something is preventing your system/hdd from even coping with that. Then it's taking 6 or 7 seconds to refill a 40 MB buffer... that's pretty poor - no wonder you're having problems. Do you defrag the drive?
  17. Try 8x. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc and/or try another spindle of discs. If you want to stick with DVD-R, see about getting some Taiyo Yuden (Victor JVC) ones instead.
  18. Nope http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632 (That's linked in the pink box up the top too )
  19. Please post a log - as per the pink box up the top
  20. Something must be going on with your system/hdd or there wouldn't be a problem What do you have running in the background (or in general) when you're burning? Check nothing like defrag or indexing is kicking in. You should post a log so we can see the problem - as per the pink box up the top.
  21. You've messed around too much with the eeprom settings. Put it to... and then burn at 4x.
  22. Have you tried it on a clean xp 32bit installation at all? I've been meaning to but haven't got round to it yet.
  23. You'd need the flashing tool to support reading the SPI ROM instead of just writing/erasing it.
  24. My card came with the AHCI 0.89 firmware on it - that worked fine. I then flashed to AHCI 0.95 - that still worked fine. I won't bother with the IDE ones now I've seen AHCI works fine (and that's probably better). Driver wise, I didn't *need* to install anything in Windows 7, it just picked it up as a standard AHCI controller. I still went ahead and installed the proper ASMedia drivers though. Do you have any weird entries listed in your filter driver list on the XP machine that it didn't work with? Use the feature in the Tools menu to take a look and copy+paste the info. It doesn't really make sense that the same card/firmware/driver/OS would produce different results on different motherboards. It might also be worth checking what it does when you boot into safe mode.
  25. A new ImgBurn isn't going to fix the problem... it's nothing to do with the software, it's a problem between your drive and the media. So like I said, read that thread I linked you to and try some of the things it mentions.
