For plain old data, it makes no difference. Your computer can use read all the file systems (and versions thereof) that ImgBurn supports. So you can use any file system/version on any media you like - the OS doesn't care. Drives don't read file systems so you don't have to worry about that either - they just read whatever is recorded to the sectors on the disc. If you were burning a Blu-ray Video disc, you'd use 2.50 (because that's just the 'norm' for BD Video discs)... but then the program would detect that's what you were doing and prompt you to change it anyway.

Ok well I'd probably just update the Rapid Storage Tech drivers - you're running 10.6. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&keyword=%22rapid%22&sort=Date&sortDir=descending v11.2 came out the other day. You should also see 11.1 and 10.8 listed in those results. I've seen this problem several times where the drive/machine just reports that the track is still being closed (forever!) and updating the drivers usually fixes it.

Do a disc quality/PIPO scan on them. Maybe they aren't actually that good at all!

It would have deleted the CUE probably. There's an additional option (enabled by default) that prevents it from deleting the individual audio files that are called up by the CUE.

You could use the 'Create CUE File' feature to build a mixed mode disc (Data then audio). It isn't possible (well, easily) to do it round the other way due to the addressing within the data track's file system. Of course if you've pre-prepared your data track so it's offset accordingly, it'll work fine.

It doesn't make an image, it just burns everything on the fly.

Use /BUILDINPUTMODE STANDARD and it'll probably work fine. I have updated the ReadMe.txt file accordingly.

If you put a single 8GB file on a disc using ISO9660 + Joliet + UDF and it doesn't read the UDF file system, it may only see the file as being 4GB in size - that's the 'normal' limit for the ISO9660 / Joliet file systems. I guess you could test it out by burning a disc with *just* the UDF file system being present and see if it can read a (below) 4GB MKV on a DVD-RW or DVD+RW (no discs wasted). If it can, try your 8GB MKV on a DVD+R DL.
