I’m pretty sure there’s another option you can enable that goes beyond just showing hidden files. It used to be known as ‘protected system files’ or similar. There could also be junction points or something... maybe that’s where the extra stuff is coming from?

It seems the program doesn’t have access to where your source files are located.

Various windows API calls and a long lookup table

Do you mean the line after it says ‘ImgBurn x.x.x.x started!’ ? That’s your current OS - or as Windows is reporting itself. If you don’t mean that, please try to capture what you’re seeing as a screenshot or whatever.

The program queries the drive to find the size, so the usage you’re seeing is accurate. The drive only ever running at 67% will be firmware related.

Weird errors writing to layer 1 on BD-RE DL… this used to work!
LIGHTNING UK! replied to MrRom92's topic in ImgBurn Support
Lots of info there, but not the one thing we actually ask for.... the log I'd say to get hold of another BD-RE DL and see if you run into the same problem. If you have the option of getting multiple discs, try and get ones with different MIDs. Maybe your drive will prefer one over the others. If it fails with all of them, you'll know it's most likely your drive at fault. -
only needs single layer disc, won't let burn to dual layer?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to efc1978's topic in ImgBurn Support
can you post the log please? -
The error message is basically saying that the sector on the disc is unreadable. That problem is unlikely to be the reason for your players not being able to play the disc. I would say they don't like something about the way it's been authored - maybe that comes down to tmpgenc?
-
Some are hardcoded. That one would probably be an OS generated file, used when displaying thumbnails of picture files in Explorer.
-
Neither of those files are the actual ImgBurn setup program. All you've done is check something from an advert or something a mirror has repackaged (wrapped up in a 'download manager download'). The clue is in the name:- Setup_ImgBurn_2.5.8.0_2QxF20_dlm_3131459862.exe FileForum_installer.exe

Problems with brand new DVD Writer...
LIGHTNING UK! replied to thediscburnerman300's topic in ImgBurn Support
Could be anything, low quality discs or drive needs cleaning maybe? Basically, your drive is having trouble figuring out or applying the correct amount of power to the laser in order to burn the discs you're using. -
Problems with brand new DVD Writer...
LIGHTNING UK! replied to thediscburnerman300's topic in ImgBurn Support
You're not going to be providing it with enough power from a single usb lead, it's desktop drive. So the reason it isn't ejecting is probably because it doesn't have enough power to actually do so. Buy a proper enclosure for the device with a standalone power supply. Oh and your other drive is a DVD burner, not just a reader. -
Sorry, no, that isn't possible.

Problems with brand new DVD Writer...
LIGHTNING UK! replied to thediscburnerman300's topic in ImgBurn Support
What happens if you press the eject button (The 'E' under the drive selection box - or right click the selection box and pick Eject) in ImgBurn? Any error message? Normally, if the tray won't open, it's because it's been locked by software. Turning the power off and on would usually reset that. If after doing that, the button on the device itself still doesn't work, maybe it's just faulty. What do you have providing power to the device? Hopefully it isn't just being powered by a single usb lead. -
Can't write any DVD. "Logical block address out of range"?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to RS0401's topic in ImgBurn Support
You’re trying to burn too much to the discs. The program did warn you about it. -
Questions about burning a disk Spanning disks
LIGHTNING UK! replied to AaronLe's topic in ImgBurn Support
You can't span with ImgBurn. -
Post the log please. Can you also add that folder via the actual gui interface, click the 'calculate' button and then post a screenshot of what it says on that tab.

How to burn ISO 8,07 Go (8 672 346 112 octets) on DVD DL
LIGHTNING UK! replied to webtrdaer's topic in ImgBurn Support
DVD+R DL can be overburnt in certain drives. Maybe one of those was used to burn that disc? -
making a bootable USB for windows 95
LIGHTNING UK! replied to onespeedbiker's topic in ImgBurn Support
Whatever you boot from needs to load CD-ROM drivers if you intend on actually running something from it. -
I see “audio format not supported” on playback.
LIGHTNING UK! replied to Cenfus's topic in ImgBurn Support
ImgBurn doesn't need to support it. As I mentioned before, it burns as-is. So you'd need to check and see what your BD player supports within the type of files you're trying to play (MP4, MKV or whatever) -
I see “audio format not supported” on playback.
LIGHTNING UK! replied to Cenfus's topic in ImgBurn Support
ImgBurn burns as-is, so it would appear the format the audio is in within your source file isn't supported by your player. You can find out the format it's in using something like MediaInfo. -
Create Image from Disk.... iso versus bin
LIGHTNING UK! replied to natgild's topic in ImgBurn Support
Have you tried just changing the destination file to one with the .iso file extension? If it can, it’ll convert your mode 2 cd to mode 1 and save as ISO. -
I dont have transcend setting in booktype options?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to mihajlo's topic in ImgBurn Support
You'd need to find out who actually makes the drive they've put their name on. I doubt it's one of their own.
