Creating IMG from Movie DVD gets Stuck at 51%
LIGHTNING UK! replied to BestInTOWN's topic in ImgBurn Support
Your drive appears to be unable to read the disc. (playing is not the same as reading every sector) Is it dirty / scratched? You may have more luck in a different drive, or if you can get hold of a different disc. -
You're talking about the Log window, yes? Enable it again from the 'View' menu at the top of the main window.
-
Sounds like your machine / drive got stuck. Kill the power to the machine and try burning it again. (Yes, that disc is a write off)

"Data Phase Error" is not a common error... not common at all! In fact, this thread is the only one on the forum that Google finds containing that exact phrase. I wouldn't be surprised if it was down to some sort of communication issue. Google it and see what you think.
-
The 3rd party mirror sites should all be fine. The only one with the 3rd party offers during installation is from the direct mirror.
-
I was told by the site admin that ImgBurn was never supposed to have the 'download manager enabled' link on it... but that it is used for some other downloads. I do not see that type of link when I look at the download page, I just see the direct download to the correct file.

No threads have ever been locked on this subject. As a ‘new member’ of the forum, you’re only allowed to make new topics, you can’t reply to (hijack) existing ones. It’s always been that way here. Please forgive me, I don’t understand the language your screenshot is in, but I’m pretty sure something on it says something like ‘click here to customise the installation’ - and that’s something you do for each of the apps you’re being offered. You may call it hostility, I call it bored of answering the same question(s) or being made to explain myself over and over again. People can search, people can read, people have options, nothing is forced upon you. The setup file available from the direct mirror isn’t ‘infected’, it simply uses a 3rd party plugin within the wizard that offers 3rd party software. Opt out of installing the software if you aren’t interested in what it’s offering you and move on.

I'd imagine it's just something in the hardware/firmware.

Windows 10 "Chokes" on UDF 2.50 Labels...maybe?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to AlbertEinstein's topic in ImgBurn Support
Go for a reboot. Windows doesn’t always notice the disc contents have changed. Windows 10 definitely supports all current udf versions. -
They’re the cheaper LTH verbatim discs rather than the normal HTL ones. I don’t believe M-Disc stuff is involved here.
-
Opencandy shut down in July 2016 I believe. All of the 3rd party mirror sites should be hosting a 100% ‘clean’ version of the installer. I certainly haven’t ‘wrapped’ anything.

Check for "formatted disc Write operations" before Eject?
LIGHTNING UK! replied to dbminter's topic in ImgBurn Suggestions
Sorry, it’s not something I can detect. Really that’s down to the OS to block it / lock the drive as I do when burning is in progress. -
Having trouble authoring DL disk with layer break
LIGHTNING UK! replied to toastedzen's topic in ImgBurn Support
You have the ‘end of the world’ problem. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/6376-How-to-deal-with-%27The-End-of-The-World%27-problem-in-ImgBurn -
Have you checked the speed of your hdd is still what it’s meant to be?
-
http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/4799-buffer-recovery-threshold/ Does that help? I’m not in a position to check the exact details but I’d assume it’s the number of I/O requests that are queued up for processing - at a driver level. If the queue is too long, it means your drive is being overworked and can’t keep up.
-
Isn’t it just preallocating the destination file disc space? It sounds like that’s the message you’re seeing flash up in the status bar.
-
Don’t confuse disc images with picture images. When you see images mentioned alongside a burning tool, it’s probably talking about disc images. There’s no special way of burning picture images with ImgBurn. All you can do is write a data disc in build mode and add all of your picture files to the disc. After that, it’s down to your playback device. Most half decent ones will play them in a slideshow format. That’s something you’d have to try out for yourself. There may also be software out there that will take a folder full of pictures and convert it to DVD Video format. The output (video_ts folder) from that software can then be burnt to disc using ImgBurn.
-
Right, so your actual suggestion is to have a CD-TEXT editor. That’s all I needed to see / know. Your original post missed that key bit of info.
-
I'm not really sure what the actual suggestion was though. The program supports CD-TEXT and you can create a cue file by dragging in your audio files, filling out the CD-TEXT info as you go.
-
The CDT is a raw dump of the CD-TEXT, as taken from the original disc. If you're trying to make a 'copy', normally you'd want it as close to the original as possible... and using the CDT file is the best way of doing that. If you want to edit the cue and have the program use that updated info, you're doing the right thing by removing the CDT and references to it from within the CUE.

Imgburn (2.5.8.0) 'randomly' ignores dest output name in read mode.
LIGHTNING UK! replied to NaCl's topic in ImgBurn Bugs
Thank you for that valuable info... especially regarding the use of AnyDVD. This is unlikely to be a bug in ImgBurn and more of a bug in the process as a whole. As I said previously, the program uses the cli given filename once and then discards it. If the drive is refreshed for any reason (probably due to AnyDVD taking it offline or whatever), it’ll get a new name. I expect that’s what’s happening here. I will see what I can do. -
1. Only if I can find the right info on the BD-XL format discs. I looked at what the drive returns for the Disc Definition Structure when a BD-XL disc is present and nothing jumped out at me as being values for ISA2/OSA2. 2. That must just be due to how the discs are designed and manufactured. 3. As above.

I found a TL disc and managed to figure out the format of the newer DI Unit used on BD-XL media, so the first and last PAA values / layer stuff should be ok now. Imgburn (2.5.8.0) 'randomly' ignores dest output name in read mode.
LIGHTNING UK! replied to NaCl's topic in ImgBurn Bugs
Ok, but what state is the unit in when you load it via CLI? Is there a disc in the drive? Is ImgBurn loading the disc for you? If I'm going to dig my Nimbie out and take a look at it, I need to make sure I can reproduce the issue - I can't under normal circumstances. Anything you can do narrow down the issue would be appreciated.
