  1. Add an AWS entry for the disc type - i.e. CD-R or CD-RW If an exact match on the MID fails, it'll fallback to looking for one based on disc type.
  2. For anyone that happens to search and hit this thread, here are some tools you could try using (in alphabetical order): Radix (trial) - http://www.usec.at/download.php RootkitRevealer (free) - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysintern...itRevealer.html RootRepeal (free) - http://rootrepeal.googlepages.com/ SanityCheck (free) - http://www.resplendence.com/sanity
  3. Switch to 'Read' mode and look in the drop down box that lists the source drives. What do you see?
  4. I have a WDTV and it's pretty cool. You're right though, it's annoying that there's no network port. I guess the popcorn ones have that area covered and I expect they use the same realmagic chip for decoding. There's a unit available where they've paid the DTS license, so you can actually decode DTS audio in files! (another gripe of the WDTV unit).
  5. That's the graph data stuff, just turn it off in the settings if you have no use for it. Of course if you don't know what it is, you can't know what you're missing out on!
  6. The update wouldn't make it hang, the only thing I added was more debug info when it failed. What else do you have running on your PC that's related to cd/dvd/bd drives in any way, shape or form? (ie burning software, virtual drive tools etc)
  7. Let's not forget that your drive is pretty ancient now. It's actually the same model (but an OEM version) as one of my earliest dvd burners - the Sony 500A
  8. A log of you actually doing something might help. don't forget to read http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  9. Use different discs, you drive doesn't like those. Updating the firmware on the drive might help though - http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1271-fi...2A_20e.exe.html
  10. yes
  11. Buy better media. Stuff by Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden are the only ones we recommend.
  12. sata ports are all 'master' ones really. It shouldn't made a difference which one you put them one. What would help is not having everything on the same physical hdd. You might find your machine will provide data to ImgBurn more quickly if buffering is enabled in the Settings. (I/O tab -> File I/O -> Reading - Always Use Buffered I/O)
  13. I really did lol at that one shamus
  14. I'm not sure on your definition of an 'archive' function but Build mode lets you burn anything you want. Fair enough you can't add to the disc once you've burn it, but that's more an incremental thing.
  15. This is a drive issue and nothing to do with the program. If the drive can't initialise the disc properly then no software can do anything about it. Try cleaning your drive.
  16. None of that adds up then. Your screenshot must have been from when you had 'Output' set to 'Image File' or when you had a DVD-R DL in the drive.
  17. Ritek and Ridata are basically the same thing. You need to look at the dye the discs use, not the brand name on them. Yes, give a cleaning disc a go. If that still doesn't work, you really need to try some decent discs (Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden) before then just investing in a new drive. It's not an ImgBurn issue.
  18. Are you making an image rather than burning direct then? I ask this because it appears to be padding to the exact same LBA - which is what happens when the media is DVD-R DL or you set the double layer media profile to DVD-R DL.
  19. Post the log from your most recent burning session.
  20. It's probably a DMA issue, read the FAQ.
  21. Yeah that one will do. Are you burning onto DVD-R DL media there btw?
  22. You really don't have the hang of this forum stuff do you. That's the 3rd time you're replied with nothing but a quote.
  23. Weird... I don't really get how it can be on 0 (or near to it) and yet not cause any slowdowns in the burn. If it's on 0 at 6x, you'd expect real problems when it gets to 12x! So what type of controller is your drive C: on? Do you ever run defrag? Are you (or is any program) using C: for other things during the burn?
  24. I still have the old eye candy thread if you want it back guys?
