  1. There's a button on the window you copied the filter driver info from that'll remove the filter from the list.
  2. If you want an exact copy of the disc then you just need to follow the 'how to copy a disc' guide in the Guides forum.
  3. Nope, didn't help... oh well! Now try Tools -> Drive -> Close -> Track / Session / Disc (in that order). If you get any error messages, please copy the contents of the error box to the clipboard and then paste it into your reply. (Use CTRL+C to copy the text from the error box to the clipboard)
  4. Was that disc info from when you were in Write mode? Could you repeat it when you're in Read mode please as I recall it's slightly different.
  5. You could remove the PFC filter. If it dates back to 2001 then there will almost certainly be issues with it that have been fixed in newer versions. PFC is normally part of Padus DiscJuggler. Do you or have you ever installed that app? Yes they're probably only reading the ATIP value. I can double check the raw data by having you enable debug mode (press F8) and then insert the disc. Just press F8 again (to turn it off) when all you see is 'TEST UNIT READY' scrolling in the log window.
  6. I doubt it, I think it's just a bug in/problem with your drive/firmware. It won't just be ImgBurn anyway, I bet if any program issued the 'READ TRACK INFORMATION' command and then output the values stored in the fields (refer to the MMC specs to find out which ones), they too would show 55 mins. The problem (for you anyway) is that the values from that command are what ImgBurn uses to determine the free space on the disc. If I just used the value used to display 'Last Possible Start Time of LeadOut' value (which is correct at '79m59s72f') then you wouldn't get the prompt to overburn and probably wouldn't ever know this issue existed.
  7. you can mount iso's in programs like virtual clonedrive or daemon tools. They then appear like a real optical drive in my computer/explorer. After that you can use something like PowerDVD or WinDVD to play them. As a freeware alternative you might like to try MediaPlayer Classic and ffdshow or VLC media player (not sure if they can actually handle bluray at this time though... probably not due to the license or something).
  8. No idea really, you'd have to ask your drive. Could you please copy + paste everything from the disc info panel on the right when you're back on the main screen and have one of the failed discs in the drive. Then please do another burn on a new disc but this time, press F8 before it finishes burning and starts on the 'sync cache' bit. That'll enable debug mode and a few extra bits will get put in the log. Save the log to a file and upload it here on the forum please.
  9. Try Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Try burning at one of the other 'supported' write speeds. If that all fails, try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. If that fails, invest in a new drive.
  10. If there aren't any other firmware updates for the drive, you should probably try with a Verbatim BD-RE disc. They work fine in my LG drive.
  11. Something my mate showed me earlier today that I though was pretty cool... WD TV HD Media Player - http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=572 Combine that with a little WD 2.5" hdd and you're laughing.
  12. Build mode (Image File output) -> Advanced tab -> Media tab -> Single layer profile.
  13. The first and last megabyte of the file would be enough if you fancy doing that. You can just email those 2 bits to the support address in the program's About box. Thanks
  14. Video CD is a dying format and in my mind, if you're making a 'complex' (multiple session / track) image in Nero then why not burn with it too? ImgBurn can burn normal single session / track nrg images just fine so I'm sure some people would be annoyed if I simply blocked the program from opening them.
  15. There are dates all over the place in various descriptors but they pretty much all use the creation date. Files/folders of course have their created and modified dates stored.
  16. Ok so the real problem is that your drive had a 'Write Error' when trying to burn to the disc. Have you also tried the 1.22 firmware? Try setting the write speed to one of the other available ones, it might actually do a better job.
  17. I don't set it on any sort or ratio, I just don't see a point in having a huge software buffer. I also don't like telling people NOT to have one so the option is there if they want it.
  18. ImgBurn won't do a video cd from an nrg file. (I don't have the nrg file specs to understand all the stuff in them) It'll only work from a bin/cue file.
  19. Had you modified the .dvd files at all? There's no point in them being there if they're messed up and I bet they must have been ok at some point.
  20. You've been burning them as files having selected the 'profile' or whatever to build an Audio CD. ImgBurn doesn't have any option like that (at the moment) and the only way to do it currently is via what's known as a 'cue sheet'.
  21. Ah not a true vob file then, you've just used that tool to fudge an mkv into one Can the ps3 play those files from a bdre too? It might be worth you investing in a bluray writer and using a 25gb disc where you then wouldn't run into 'layer' issues. If you must stick to using DL discs, make sure they're Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL ones (MKM-001-00 dye, made in Singapore).
  22. There's normally an error before the 'Invalid Address For Write' one and it's that one you should be paying attention to.
