  1. Nope, you're stuck with the speeds your drive/firmware supports on that media. The thing is, burning at slower speeds doesn't mean your drive will produce a better burn. If the firmware has been tweaked in such a way that 12x or something is actually the best speed for that MID then that's the speed you should be burning at. It just might be a case of trial and error on the first few discs where you burn at each of the available speeds and then scan them using DVDInfoPro/CDSpeed to see what the PIPO error rates are like.
  2. Are you a programmer?! If not, that part of this thread doesn't apply to you.
  3. You're quite correct. Both those drives are CD burners, not DVD burners
  4. What's this got to do with ImgBurn? You need some sort of DVD authoring package. That said, unless they're 2 dvds with no sort of menu system, the simple answer is - you can't. (Or maybe you can if there's some way of inserting another menu before their original main menu that then lets you choose which of the two original main menus you want to load)
  5. It only takes a few minutes because all it's doing is burning the files as-is! DVD Flick etc have to convert said AVI files into DVD Video format (vob/ifo/bup files) and that's what takes the time. Obviously the faster your PC, the less time the conversion takes. DVD Flick actually uses my program for the 'writing to disc' phase.
  6. No, you'd need something like DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD.
  7. What other drive are you expecting to see?! It's already finding 2 in your system. Do you have a 3rd? Does it show up in Device manager ok? If in doubt, uninstall the 'controller' entries from the IDE/ATAPI/ATA/SCSI/RAID related branches within Device Manager and reboot.
  8. There could be subtle differences in the name such as the 'case' used (upper/lower) or 2 spaces where there should only be 1, that kinda thing. If you leave ImgBurn on the default values it'll use ISO9660 + UDF for the file system and most players won't read UDF unless it's for DVD Video. As such, the player then reads the file names from the ISO9660 file system and that's limited to the old DOS style name consisting of 8.3 (uppercase only) characters (XXXXXXXX.YYY). By using Joliet too (or instead of UDF) the player will still have access to the original (and longer) file names.
  9. This is nothing to do with ImgBurn. Either your player is making up the menu or your conversion software is - ask this question at their forum.
  10. If your (standalone?) player is putting them in the wrong order then it's probably down to their names. So just rename the files part1.avi and part2.avi or something. Have you changed the file system to ISO9660 + Joliet? That's probably the best one for a divx type disc to be played on a standalone player.
  11. ImgBurn doesn't have any drivers, it's just an exe file. You can use ImgBurn to look at your filter drivers (look in the tools menu), bad ones can sometimes screw a system up. Have you installed any other burning or virtual drive software?
  12. You're paying for their premium download service (which is faster than their 'free' one) and it's something I believe they offer on all their downloads.
  13. Looks like an OEM model/firmware so you might have to employ some trickery to make BS0Y go on. Personally I'd ditch the media you're using anyway and get some Taiyo Yuden / Verbatim discs.
  14. 97m26s11f is postech (piece of sh... ? ) A quick google search says they're C+ class media. Get Taiyo Yuden CDs, they're by far the best.
  15. You're confusing the 2 things. A proper Audio CD (which is where the CUE comes in) and an mp3 data disc. A proper Audio CD is written in Write mode and can only store 80 mins worth of music. An mp3 data disc is written in Build mode and can store 700MB worth of mp3 files (which would then equal several hours playback time). Get your head around those concepts and you'll be fine.
  16. This is normally where your controller drivers have messed up and so no I/O get processed. Once an I/O command has been submitted to the drive, ImgBurn is no longer in control until it's processed and the machine returns success / failure. If the machine never returns either, ImgBurn just sits there waiting for it to do so.
  17. It's just a data disc. If you want to copy it, use Read mode and then Write mode... it's very simple, honest!
  18. Yes, use build mode add the file, select udf 2.5 for the file system and burn.
  19. I had another look at this today with a disc I have that goes from 14GB down to 4.37GB. It worked just fine on that and it's got almost 200,000 files! So basically, it's now down to you because I'm happy it's working as it should do.
  20. It already does.
  21. isn't there another FS it can read? Even if it's not a standard windows one. Or get yourself a bluray burner and play from BDRE.
  22. Nope, sorry. If the program doesn't throw up an error when it calls the VirtualAlloc API function to allocate the memory then as far as it knows, everything is fine. If the machine then has problems with me trying to write to the allocated memory I'm afraid it's out of my hands. Have a play around and try to work out the limit for what you can set it to. Personally I've never seen a need to go over the default value. You could also try running memtest+ for a few hours / passes.
  23. Typically, the MKV's I see mentioned in various forums contain Hi Def 720 / 1080p content. If you convert them to DVD Video or Xvid/DivX format you will of course be losing a lot of the quality.
  24. ImgBurn /mode build /output imagefile /src "C:\Folder1\" /dest "C:\Image1.iso" ImgBurn /mode build /output imagefile /src "C:\Folder2\" /dest "C:\Image2.iso" Something like that should work.

Why are you using Build mode? ImgBurn cannot 'Build' discs for the xbox from the raw files - and to be honest I'm not sure how you ever even got the raw files!
